Maybe that's the problem, but whatever it is, I believe his candidacy is going nowhere.
Lumping Pres. Bush in the "hideous politician" category is deplorable. This is a great man and strong leader, in times of epic danger and savage terrorism, with a pathetic team of self-absorbed wimps in Congress, preening and moulting on the bench.
No one could ever be perfect .. and I don't know any President who's tried harder and longer to restore civility to the political process while attempting to maintain his party's vision. And he gets the back of the hand from both sides.
That he's shows up every day, with grace, goodness and optimism in the face of such constant virulent attack, vitriol and abuse, when he carries the incomparably painful burden of sending our incredible young troops in harm's way and protecting US from the other beasts, just boggles my mind. God bless and protect him.
I'm with Rod and others: I will vote GOP ... the anti-American, terrorist-tax-abortion-gay-marriage loving DNC party will not get a vote from me .. ever.
If that means a choice between McCain or any other RINO and a Rat .. so be it.
My country is too precious to be used as a pawn in voter retribution orgies, and to voluntarily hand over the WH to any Rat.
Amazing.... Edwards, Kerry and Gore really are gifts that just keep on giving.
I really know almost nothing about Duncan Hunter.
I like his positions that I know of, but what is he like on television? Is he attractive? A good speaker? Likeable?
Maybe all that should not matter, but it does.
In view of the 'hundreds of thousands' on anti-war protesters that 'descended' upon D.C., I wanted to ask if anyone saw us in D.C. Monday? Thought not. See anything in print or the MSM? No? Or maybe one report that said one thousand folks came.
I post, you decide.
For your perusal...
This is the video of the rally... which is early and most of the buses aren't even in yet (we had just got in):

Gotta give Yahoo credit... they did attempt to make the anti-war marches seem huge:

BTW, there were marches for life in 27 cities, including LA, Michigan, Missouri, Idaho and others last week.
Yeah I do to and I sincerely think that's why he(woof woof) sicked his buddies(msm) on Cheney to show the VP that no one dares talk back to them!(except /Cheney cause he could care less who they are,he is a man's man)
But the fool persisted in questioning VP Cheney, and that's when Cheny laid the hammer on him. Woofie's lesson to be learned: "Don't mess w/me or my family, you fool."
Excellent post Star.
Well and beautifully said, my friend.
By the way I LOVED Cheney's response to Wolf's sniveling questions. This is what we have needed for the past six years and I would like to see more of that type of attitude from the President.
We need more "I don't accept your premise" answers to MSM questions.
I loved that exchange and Wolf seemed to morph into an odd little puppet being determined to prove that he wasn't scared by pushing the envelope on the questioning.
It was beyond tasteless.
FYI, if you guys didn't get to see any video of the National Review summit this weekend, this guy's Romney site has some.

(No preference, just where I found some video... only saw two clips from the beginning re: NR stream)
For whatever reason, Specter has made a pact with the devil named Leahy!
Well, I can scratch him off my list. Throwing money at HIV is like throwing money at Katrna victims-some people just cant or wont be helped..
American Enterprise Institute's Michael Novak -> W's Next to Last State of the Union.
I was deeply surprised by the president's delivery, deliberate pace, low-key but very strong and conservative arguments, and his poise. ......... I was stunned by the number of times he forced the Democrats not only to applaud, but even to get to their feet, whether with fake enthusiasm or grudgingly--even on key matters regarding the war on terror and Iraq, but also on health care and energy concerns that the Democrats prematurely regard as their strongest turf. The Democrats were forced neither to hiss nor to boo, but to listen with far greater warmth than all day long the media were predicting..........
Bush did not speak like a defeated man, nor even like an unpopular man, and certainly not like an intimidated man--but like a man strangely confident that he was eventually going to be seen to have been clear-sighted and brave, the more so when the winds blew against him.
OMG I heard Hillary sing, or her version of singing, unreal,it was a true Bevis an Butthead moment.
No one is going near the question of his daughter's pregnancy, however.
They're attacking him on every other issue.
Considering there is a highly resistant form of TB making its rounds through HIV patients in South Africa, those kinds of funds may not be needed.
No, he looks like a loveable, genial, fun-loving grampa. And I wish he would run for President. If for no other reason than to see all the heads exploding on tv.
