Yes, but only when the votes go in their favor.
Here the president doesn't get to rule by decree, since he is not a 'rat.
The courts serve that function.

"Do our Democrats really believe in democracy?" Judging from their response to the people of Iraq forming a democracy, I'd have to say no.

No 50.0%

Half of America needs to be shipped to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc, where they can enjoy their kind of democracy.

Only when it serves their purpose.
They also only believe in the law when it FAVORS them.
The reason they admire these dictators is because they ENVY their COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE "LITTLE PEOPLE".

There's a reason they are called the Democrat Party and not the Democratic Party. Their methods reveal a very stifliing and authoritarian manner of dealing with people. They should rename it to:
The Oppressocratic Party.

What do you mean "closet". They're pretty out in the open about their fascism if you ask me.
"Hate" speech, the "Fairness" Doctrine, and various other acts of thugery are resplendent thoughout the history of "The People's Party".
Dems are for free speech as long as you agree with them.

Since Dems think Carter (the man who helped get Hugo Chavez elected in the first place) is a rock star

Yes.
They don't believe in the Republic!
Democracy as practiced by them is nothing more than Mob Rule.
