BAGHDAD, Iraq - In perhaps the boldest and most sophisticated attack in four years of warfare, gunmen speaking English, wearing U.S. military uniforms and carrying American weapons abducted four U.S. soldiers last week at the provincial headquarters in the Shiite holy city of Karbala and then shot them to death.

The U.S. military confirmed a report earlier Friday by The Associated Press that three of the soldiers were dead and one was mortally wounded with a gunshot to the head when they were found in a neighboring province, about 25 miles from the compound where they were captured. A fifth soldier was killed in the initial attack on the compound.

The brazen assault, 50 miles south of Baghdad, was conducted by nine to 12 gunmen posing as an American security team, the military confirmed. The attackers traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles (the type used by U.S. government convoys), had American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues, and spoke English, according to two senior U.S. military officials as well as Iraqi officials.

Someone needs to die.

Something this complex had to have help within the Iraqi government

Something like that could never happen here.

BTTT

"speaking English, American uniforms & American weapons?"
This is very bad.

Maybe Pelosi & Murtha can have an investigation and get the bottom of this while they are there. /s

Remember that four were captured after this murder. We hear the Geneva Convention all the time, well it says enemy captured in your uniform can be executed. Lets do it, immediately and publically. NOW.

If the perps are found they should be shit immediately.

Thats after using a Soviet trick of taking a file to their teeth to quickly extract all possible information so that the rest of the gang (especially the organizers) can be located and destroyed.

Remember the SS tricks like this during the Battle of the Bulge, and what the fate of most SS the American soldiers caught was......

Impersonating the other sides military uniform is a dead giveaway of being a spy with a traditional penalty of summary execution.

we can never get payback cause the NCIS pussies will make sure they get a shiny star sticker and get a Marine into Leavenworth...

this all starts at the top.... the fact that the chain of command is covering their a@#es and as usual letting the NCO's end up holding the sh#tty end of the stick..

whoever set up the meeting needs to be "questioned"... the sentries that let them through need to be gone.

I can't believe in the "no win" scenario" the dems, the libs, the press and the lawyers have put troops in. How can you fight in the disgusting way you have to in order to win a guerrilla war?

If it is shown that NCIS has some PC directive and chain of command attitude then we pull out. There is no way I'd let my son get in the sh#t with the crap going on now.

I think I'd prefer night and jungle stuff in South and Central America where the rule is........ the man with the gun makes the rules...... or so I've heard.

You and your zingers. Haha.

Question: Will we find out who did this to our troops and fry 'em? Did we ever find out who captured, tortured, killed and mutilated Privates Menchaca and Tucker last year in Yusufiyah?

ONE... count 'em, one suspect as yet "unidentified" was "arrested" for that brutal crime but nothing since... http://www.brownsvilleherald.com/ts_more.php?id=74507_0_10_0_M36

And who shot down the helicopter one week ago, killing 12 of our best? Although, at first, it was reported as 13. Was it really 13?

Me and my questions ...
