Now you know why the Patriots should have won. They would never allow this nonsense.

"I think the Dolphins ought to call the NFL and tell them they can't use their stadium for the Super Bowl."

I agree. The game should be played in Soldiers Field where real football fans appreciate and understand NFL fans and the history of the game. Go Bears!

I'm wondering if DHS has gotten wind of something that's scared the snot out of them.

I doubt it.

Meanwhile, in Germany during the World Cup (that's the "gay" football), organizers set up beer tents outside the stadiums because only Anheuser-Busch products were sold inside (because of sponsorship rights).

I think they are doing it because they want more money from food & beverage sales inside the stadium.

There are several hundred private residences within a mile radius of the stadium. Did the NFL just trump everybody's property rights? What if one of the residents right across the canal from the stadium wants to throw a tailgater in his backyard?

THAT is none of the NFL's business. Heck, the homeowners nearby should rent out their property for tailgaters.

Going for onl $1,025.00.

Man, I'd pay a lot more than that. I'd even cheer for the Bears.

Well, I can't imagine what trying to secure these sporting events must be like. Nightmare doesn't come close, I'm sure. While I like tailgaiting as much as the next gal, my sympathies are with the security types. I'll just do my tailgaiting at home :)

I would assume there are a lot of die hard fans who could make it to Miami but not afford tix for the game. This certainly puts a damper on the fun.
:-(
