Hollywood may be debating who to support in the 2008 presidential election, but Dame Elizabeth Taylor already has her woman -- Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In a statement on Thursday, the actress said, "I have contributed to Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign because she has a mind of her own and a very strong one at that. I like the way she thinks. She is very savvy and a smart leader with years of experience in government, diplomacy and politics."
A spokesman for the 74-year-old actress said she had contributed $2,100 to the New York Democratic senator, the legal limit an individual can give in a primary campaign. Earlier the spokesman had said Taylor gave $100,000, but said that was an incorrect figure based on misinformation
My mom tells me stories about her. The joke about Liz was she had the "Holland Tunnel". You can figure out the rest!
If I was really interested, I think I'd say, "Yup, tells ME all I need to know..." But since I couldn't care less, I won't.
I like her.
I like her.
Oh good! Now we have something we disagree about -- Liz. :0)
This is the second thing we disagreed on in the last few weeks. Let's stop this trend! Go see my last post to you.
I can't remember the first, so don't remind me.....lol.
I thought this thread was funny already then.... YOUR POST CAME ALONG and I started laughing out loud really hard. OK, you got me! ;-)
2006 picture of Ol' "Eight Husbands and Counting" Liz.
If ever a picture was worth a thousand words, that one is it! (drat, paulat beat me to it)
It's almost too believable to be real.
Pretty much sums up a lot of things.
Hollyweird.
Perverts.
Mentals.
Druggies.
Homos.
Lesbos.
Whateveros.
The list goes on and on...
A freakazoid melting pot captured in one snap.
Yep. I have to vote for Hillary now.
Actually, count beat ME to it...but it's classic...just as you opined!
She used to be married to John Warner.
Yep just ask Debbie Reynolds.
I meant your caption beat mine.
I'm still looking at that picture, it's like looking at an accident scene, pre- or post-, I'm not sure which.
Sad, disgusting, yet somehow fascinating (and I'm someone who hates rubberneckers, especially on the highway).
My mind won't stop asking questions. How did they all get to such weird places in their sad lives? Did it just happen, or was it planned? How many people have they affected with their outrageous lives? What's going to happen next? ....
Maybe I shouldn't be watching CSI at the same time...
They were given gifts. How did they use them?
Makes me think about how fortunate I am...and what am I doing with it.
Not to get all "Oprah" on ya...but I know what you mean!
Goes a way of explaining that relation of Liz', Paris "No Undies" Hilton!
