URGENT: Jane Fonda to Protest Iraq War at Navy Memorial Sat. (Help D.C. Chapter Counter-Protest!)

THIS IS AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic is canceling our planned gathering at Upper Senate Park scheduled for 10 a.m. this Saturday, January 27, and will instead focus our efforts on the appearance at the Navy Memorial that morning by Jane Fonda for a so-called antiwar rally there.

We will gather at 9 a.m. and stay through Fonda's scheduled appearance at 10 a.m.

Please bring American and service flags, signs bearing messages of support for our troops, as well as signs denouncing Fonda and her band of traitors.

The following is the announcement by the sponsor of Saturday's larger 'antiwar' rally on the Mall about the Navy Memorial event:

10am: Women Say Pull Out! Women's Convergence for DC Mobilization

Join Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Lynn Woolsey, Rhea Perlman, Eve Ensler, Mimi Kennedy, Q'orianka Kilcher, the Co-founders of CODEPINK and many other amazing women. Other co-sponsors include: National Organization for Women, V-Day, WAND, Feminist Majority, Feminist Peace Network and WATER. Don't forget your PINK!

Where: Navy Memorial, 7th and Pennsylvania NW
When: Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10am We will rally at 10am then meet up with the UFPJ rally and march!

The enemies of this nation are feeling so emboldened that they are confident enough to bring Jane Fonda to a MEMORIAL for the United States Navy. During the Vietnam war Fonda traveled to North Vietnam and posed with our enemy on an anti-aircraft battery used to shoot down our Navy pilots.

Please join us in protecting the honor and memory of the sailors and pilots of the U.S. Navy from Jane Fonda and those who support the enemy in this war.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

We will be downtown all day as we also plan to counter-protest the 'antiwar' march after their rally on the Mall

Dress warm, it's going to be cold but dry.

Metro stations close to the Navy Memorial include Archives/Navy Memorial on the Green and Yellow lines, Gallery Place on the Red, Green and Yellow lines and Federal Triangle on the Orange and Blue lines. Street parking and garage parking is available.

Come on, folks. If you're anywhere near the DC area, get off your lazy butts and come stand for America and freedom today. These protestors are more than anti-Iraq War, they are anti the very principles upon which this great Nation was founded. They hate the United States and everything for which she stands. If these hippies had their way, you and I would all be tossed into gulags and the US would become a communist nation. They are anti-freedom, anti-free enterprise, and anti-individualism. They are full blooded Communist!

Starting with the Revolution and up until today, a lot of great men and women have given their lives so you and I can live in a nation where we have the freedom to make our own choices and choose our own destinies. Just take an hour or two out of your time and come and stand for America and those heroic men and women. WE CAN'T LOSE THIS BATTLE! THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN ARE AT STAKE. I wish I could be there by your side. Tomorrow we will go to Culpeper National Cemetery and visit with Karl, who died 2 years ago today in Haqlaniyah, Iraq. I'd like to be there and look them in the eyes and ask them who the hell they think they are. They seem to think their opinion counts for more than other's. I don't.

This is one of the best thing I've read in ages!!!!! I wish I could go there for dinner!!!!
This is a great story! The radio station America FM was doing one of its "Is Anyone Listening?" bits this morning. The first question was, "Ever have a celebrity pull up with the 'Do you know who I am?' routine?"
A woman called in and said that a few years a go, while visiting her cattle rancher uncle in Billings, MT, she had occasion to go to dinner at a restaurant that does not take reservations. The wait was about 45 minutes; many ranchers and their wives were waiting. TedTurner and his ex-wife Jane Fonda came in the restaurant and wanted a table.The hostess informed them that they'd have to wait 45 minutes. Jane Fonda asked the hostess, "Do you know who I am?" The hostess answered, "Yes, but you 'll have to wait 45 minutes." Then Jane asked if the manager was in.
When the manager came out, he asked, "May I help you?""Do you know who we are?" both Ted and Jane asked. "Yes, but these folks have been waiting, and I can't put you ahead of them." Then Ted asked to speak to the owner. The owner came out, and Jane again asked,"Do you know who I am?" The owner answered, "Yes, I do. Do you know who I am? I am the owner of this restaurant and I am a Vietnam Veteran. Not only will you not get a table ahead of my friends and neighbors who have been waiting here, but you also will not be eating in my restaurant tonight or any night. Good bye."
