THIS IS AN URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic is canceling our planned gathering at Upper Senate Park scheduled for 10 a.m. this Saturday, January 27, and will instead focus our efforts on the appearance at the Navy Memorial that morning by Jane Fonda for a so-called antiwar rally there.
We will gather at 9 a.m. and stay through Fonda's scheduled appearance at 10 a.m.
Please bring American and service flags, signs bearing messages of support for our troops, as well as signs denouncing Fonda and her band of traitors.
The following is the announcement by the sponsor of Saturday's larger 'antiwar' rally on the Mall about the Navy Memorial event:
10am: Women Say Pull Out! Women's Convergence for DC Mobilization
Join Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Congresswomen Maxine Waters and Lynn Woolsey, Rhea Perlman, Eve Ensler, Mimi Kennedy, Q'orianka Kilcher, the Co-founders of CODEPINK and many other amazing women. Other co-sponsors include: National Organization for Women, V-Day, WAND, Feminist Majority, Feminist Peace Network and WATER. Don't forget your PINK!
Where: Navy Memorial, 7th and Pennsylvania NW
When: Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10am We will rally at 10am then meet up with the UFPJ rally and march!
The enemies of this nation are feeling so emboldened that they are confident enough to bring Jane Fonda to a MEMORIAL for the United States Navy. During the Vietnam war Fonda traveled to North Vietnam and posed with our enemy on an anti-aircraft battery used to shoot down our Navy pilots.
Please join us in protecting the honor and memory of the sailors and pilots of the U.S. Navy from Jane Fonda and those who support the enemy in this war.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
We will be downtown all day as we also plan to counter-protest the 'antiwar' march after their rally on the Mall
Dress warm, it's going to be cold but dry.
Metro stations close to the Navy Memorial include Archives/Navy Memorial on the Green and Yellow lines, Gallery Place on the Red, Green and Yellow lines and Federal Triangle on the Orange and Blue lines. Street parking and garage parking is available.
If I could, I'd be there with you.
Hey! Jane Fonda! Wooo Hoooo! What a blessing this will be for our country & President Bush. I hope the Democrats don't talk her out of it. This will SO be good during the 2008 elections.
Rush made a remark the other day about the fact that 2008 just might be the election when generation X, Y or Z tells the baby boomers to finally shut up and retire. He said that the rage that defines the baby boomer leftists might be wearing thin with the younger generation and they might be thinking that it is their time for the spot light.
Me either. Apparently she has no shame.
Oh I so wish I could be there for this one--I HOPE YOU FREEP THE S#!T OUT OF THAT TRAITOROUS BI!#H!
Hopefully they'll detonate it.
Rich, privileged white girl FIGHTIN' THE POWER!
What a complete joke she was, and is.
God I hope the Protest Warriors and/or the bikers that protested Phelps show up. Someone should show up in North Vietnamese uniforms and a giant fake anti-aircraft gun and ask if she would like to take a picture.
Got to hell, Hanoi Jane.
Q'orianka Kilcher? Damn, she's too cute to be to liberal :(
If it ain't snowing (and I'm not hungover), I'll be there.
And she will no doubt be wearing her spiked hair and ALL of her imported Bulgarian eye makeup.
Anyone have a Viet Cong helmet? I have an idea for an "interactive display."
I can't tell you how much I wish I could be there.
