Always tell them why.

Oh, they care about small donations all right. If they didn't, they wouldn't keep sending constant solicitations in the mail. It's a big chunk of the GOP's money.

I have taken the pledge. Have written to McConnell and Ensign and will call them, and the NRSC, tomorrow with this message.

We should mention that it was Hewitt's idea. The conservative blogosphere needs to be taken more seriously by our elected officials and the national party.

Never have given these people any money. First they take their cut. Then they sprinkle what's left to the candidates of their choice. And if they choose a RINO, then so be it.

I don't think so!

I will continue to contribute directly to the candidates of MY choice.

Santorum, Irey, and Allen

Good choices...especially the middle one! ;*)

I don't need anyone deciding where my money should go. I'll pick my candidates and contribute directly to them.

Did Ensign replace Libby? I wouldn't give her a penny if she was starving and bleeding in the street.

My shredder is full of GOP solicitations

Fire starters are great, but it would be far more effective to open it, write NO WAY across it, with your reason if you so desire, and return it to them.

Clearly, they have NO CLUE why they lost.

That is great! I see you pinged me to it at the time, but I was traveling and working on a campaign and missed it!

It should be revived!!!

Here is the breakdown of the organizations:

Republican National Committee (RNC) is the one that all State Republican Organizations down to the precinct level are a part. Each state elects two national committee people (man and woman) and along with the State GOP Chairs make up the governing organization of the RNC. http://www.gop.com is their website

National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is the Senate Committee that raises money and supports Senate candidates throughout the US. http://www.nrsc.org

National Republican Congressional Committee does the same thing as the Senate Committee except for the House candidates. http://www.nrcc.org

Both the Senate and Congressional organizations recruit candidates to run so you might want to let them know your feelings on certain candidates and what you expect before you donate.

RNC helps with certain House and Senate seats but they are there to support all States and the Presidential candidate. RNC also gets people on the ground in States where help is needed.

Petraeus comes from the Greek for rock- petra. I think I'll just call him Rocky.

Excellent! We did not elect Republicans so that they could play mute lapdogs for Queen Pelosi and King Reid. If these empty suits can't find their voices pronto and represent OUR views, they need to be replaced by someone who is not afraid of the Democrats. They have largely been a disappointment during the past twelve years, particularly the past six, when they had a Republican president. Since the election last Nov., they have been an embarrassing disgrace. They didn't know how to be a majority, and they didn't learn from observing the Democrats how to be an effective minority. If they are useless, replace them with candidates who have a clue.

I did that several times. I answered their silly surveys who ask for contributions. They apparantly ignored me and thousands of others who have raised the same concerns.
They don't have a clue. But since they won't listen to the people, they can and should remain clueless as far as I'm concerned. Their ear is for their hired advisors and the lobby and not the average person. The ignoring of the citizens will be the undoing.
