A federal appeals court refused yesterday to revive civil-rights claims against Gov. Rendell, District Attorney Lynne M. Abraham, and Teamsters Local 115, part of a lawsuit filed eight years ago by a man who says he was beaten and falsely prosecuted after protesting a 1998 appearance by President Clinton.
The opinion by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit is likely the end of the federal suit filed by Don and Theresa Adams, although Adams has said he will press civil claims involving state law in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court.
Neither Adams, 46, of Cheltenham, nor his lawyer could be reached for comment.
At issue before the Third Circuit panel was whether a lower-court judge properly dismissed the Adamses' lawsuit.
The suit by Adams and his sister, Theresa, 47, contended that members of Teamsters Local 115 ended their anti-Clinton demonstration by beating them on Oct. 2, 1998. The suit contended that Rendell had earlier called Local 115's leader, John "Johnny" Morris, and requested a strong union presence at Clinton's City Hall appearance and that Teamsters should "drown out" anti-Clinton protesters.

With all due respect it is not an "old" story but an "ongoing" story, and hopefully there are many who have been following it and still remember the original events which precipitated it.
But justice must also be pursued while we are on earth. Otherwise, the world would be nothing but complete and utter chaos.
No, that's why your case is called, "Adams v Teamsters, et al. It was not necessary to connect the Teamsters to the govm't. See 18USC241 The Teamsters themselves conspired to violate folk's rights that day. Then they acted on it. Rendell knew they would, that's why they were invited.
Although the case involved the popular D, IMO, the greatest concern of Yahn and the 3rd district appeals court, was to do what they could by stretching, to prevent establishing a connection between Labor and political violence. That's the part were Yahn made his finding of fact and the appeals court blessed it.
Thank you for the link to that statute. I stand corrected. I will see if I can find that part in the law I was referring to.
The Governor of PA is a crook. Clinton went up to his mayor office in Philly at least 11 times to collect Union cash from PA.
Again thank you for the exellent post, Physicist. I just wanted people to know there are other avenues to pursue, and Rendell would still be a part of the case at the state level.
IronJack, I meant also to thank you for the support. We do appreciate it.
Free Republic has earned a permanent and influential place in the conservative movement for the forseeable future, and may it be ever so.
OK, let's get to the chase. How many thousands are you in debt? Personal, I know. But it has to be brought up and the truth.
You're welcome. I wish you the best of luck!
So many years justice denied. Makes you wonder if one day we will be forced to vote from the roof tops.
Please keep posting updates. I will donate again soon.

Bet you didn't expect to hear from me, eh....Been what, 6 years? I am like unto Lazarus or the Phoenix.
Ciao
We still have the state portion of this case, and we will be taking it to trial. Why have you been gone for six years?
During the run up to Bush's first term there was a lot of ugly talk about ones conservative bona fides if one was not a rabid "bushie". I was involved in perhaps one too many useless "flame war". Although he is absolutely correct on western civilizations battle against islamofascism, POTUS has turned out to be substantially heavier on the compassionate and less on the conservative. All in all, something of a disappointment, especially domestically.
The conservative high water mark for me came shortly after the Republican Congressional take over in 1994. It has been slouching toward mediocrity and tepidness ever since. Where are the conservative leaders, statesmen and spokesmen that I can vote for and support? I agree with Rush and I'm tired of carrying water (even if it's just emotionally) for RINOs and others who aren't willing to fight for us or themselves.
I fondly recall getting involved in a deep thread and some off line SCOTUS research with some constitutional convention advocates about the commerce clause and other "meaty" topics back in the day. I lost interest when the discussion began to take on a more "Your Mama...." tone.
I now spend much time working with my LD 9 year old son, and web time is divided between Town Hall, Rush 24/7, Patriot Post and Drudge. I may come back....just testing the waters, so to speak. Thanks for asking.......
Lord, tell me where You want me to go, Let me meet who You want me to meet, Tell me what You want me to say, And keep me out of Your way. - Father Mychal Judge's Prayer
