Got this in my email. Wanted to share it with those of you that may not have seen it already...

It's an eminently sensible idea. BTTT.
I've seen it and it'll never happen..racist ya know..
No argument here!
Completely sensible, not that Sleepy Ted is going to do ANYTHING remotely resembling sensible in the State of Oregon. Unless, of course it leads to a job 4 years from now, he's damn good at covering his own needs.
All elected officials should get them too. Esp. Congress.
A) There shouldn't be welfare, there should be workfare.
B) Urine tests should only be required if it's a matter of public safety
i was gonna post this a week or so ago but i couldn't figure out how to post a picture and i didn't want to re-type it. Ol' Leonard has his **** together.
I think its a comendable idea.
If I remember right, in both New York and Chicago, during the 1980s drug wars, they threw people out of public housing when anyone living in the apartment got arrested on a drug charge.
Why not just eliminate the problem before it gets to that.
Quit mailing the welfare check and have them take the drug test in order to pick up the check. If they fail the test (which might take a couple days to process), then there would be no check waiting next week.
I asked this when i joined the Coast Guard in '85.
My urine has never endangered anybody ;-)
Every ELECTED politician should have a random urine test weekly.
IMHO, the whole philosophy behind urine testing is un-American. Employee drug screening is a blanket assumption by the employer that their employees are guilty and not to be trusted. It also makes the individual prove their innocence rather than the accuser proving guilt. On top of that, the idea of employers examining bodily waste as a condition of employment is totalitarian. Yeah, I know, if you don't want to do it, don't work for them... I don't! :-)
Whoa! This makes too much sense, we can't have that now can we? It's much better to play a fools game with your tax dollars....
When people work, drug use goes down along with crime. I have seen this first hand. Here in NYC we have workfare and it works well. I know folks who have lifted themselves out of poverty, but even on a more modest level -- the workfare guys who clean the streets in Times Square perform a valuable public service. Not only are they cleaning the streets, but they constantly assist lost tourists. Their red jumpsuits make them look official and act as "tourist magnets." Many of them carry subway maps to give out to tourists -- a weird thing that has evolved naturally through no official policy.
Great e-mail.
Why start at the bottom? Let's test the ones that decide how to spend our money.
Any idea why he had to write in on a lunch bag?
