TOM Cruise is the new Christ of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.
The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been chosen to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.
And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.
A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the churchs top levels, said: Tom has been told he is Scientologys Christ-like figure.
Like Christ, hes been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.
Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the 80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.
He's bigger than Jesus! And the Beatles!
BRAVO!!!! That's fantastic. :)
I don't think it counts if your name really is Jesus...
You have, quite obviously, never seen "Moment to Moment".
This will be your only warning!
"Don't worry, I'm not gonna do what you all think I'm gonna do, which is, you know, FLIP OUT! But if anybody else wants to come with me, this moment will be the ground floor of something real and fun and inspiring and true in this godforsaken business and we will do it together! Who's coming with me besides..."Flipper" here? Come on! Who's coming with me?"
Criticize if you must, but Star Ship Troopers was The Passion of Christ for crackpot religionists.

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.
According to some Freepers, religion shouldn't matter at all. Tom might as well run for president.
So when do we nail him to a cross?
Better him than Hillary!
(But not by much)...

Who will be cast in the role of Marty Magdalene?
Not bad? NOT BAD??? I had heard a rumor that LRon was once a decent writer, and a contemporary of RAH, so I thought , why not? I read that thing thinking the whole time I had gotten past the worst and that it simply had to improve. Boy, was I wrong. That book made "Star Smashers of the Galaxy Rangers" look like "Moby Dick". Even as trashy pulp SciFi, it was bad beyond belief.
"Cult-like"?
It's either a cult or it's not
Will Becks be his St John?
Also, he is not strung out on drugs, bashing our president in foreign countries or running around in public without his underwear on. He is generally clean cut, well mannered, and doesn't get into pissing contests with other celebrities. You guys can dump on him all you like, but I like him (even if he is weird).
LOL! "Dad, Tom won't come out of the closet!"
More like Bob Dobbs I'd say.........
s I posted on the other thread, I do not think Tom is asking for this and just becasue someone says it my guess is he feels uncomfortable about it.
