TOM Cruise is the new Christ of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.
The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been chosen to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.
And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.
A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the churchs top levels, said: Tom has been told he is Scientologys Christ-like figure.
Like Christ, hes been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.
Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the 80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.

This was foreseen.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matthew 24:24 (KJV)

I don't remember the rocket engines part. Otherwise pretty accurate...

"Cruise 'is Christ' of Scientology"
Now let's not be so hard on Lil' Tommy. He should be crucified, and then if he comes back to life three days later, I'd be shocked.

BTW, what does scientology think of homosexuality? Travolta is also rumored to be gay. Actually, I think that's more than a rumor, but I don't know enough about it to speculate further.

There the souls were forced to watch days of brain-washing material, which tricked them into believing a false reality. Xenu then released the alien souls, which roamed the Earth aimlessly in a fog of confusion. Kinda like the Sundance Film Festival?

Tom Cruise is NOT gray. That ugly rumor started when Cruise was spotted spending the night with his hairdresser at his Malibu beach home. However, there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that he had his hair tinted that night.
TOM CRUISE IS NOT GRAY!!!

"What about wife?"
Word is that she was already preggers or got knocked up by someone else. The old Hollywood term for a wife, etc. of a gay star is a "beard." It is still generally believed that the sheeple will not accept an openly gay leading man.

Unfrikn believable. Christ, the Son of God, had a blood line to King David according the Hebrew Law. He was born a pauper and died on the cross to clense us from our sins. Christ did not rise from the ranks of the Christian church, he was the church.
Cruise needs to go to a Christian communion or mass. He will be humbled.

lets try that again..

*shrug* It's been my personal experience that when you are in a cult surrounded by people who believe in a particular set of assumptions unique to that cult and are immersed in little but the teachings of that cult, it all looks pretty reasonable.

you didn't miss anything. worst thing travolta ever did. makes urban cowboy look like an oscar nomination by comparison.
also, the fact that they condensed a not bad, 2,000 page scifi novel into a 2 hour movie didn't help.

Uh, Christ was crucified for mankind. I kinda' think that falls into a whole different category from criticism.
You can see a great degree of ignorance in the statement which the kind of thing these people prey upon.

I was watching ESPN the other day, and caught the Nike "Second Coming" basketball ad. I normally don't get exercised about such things, but it was in really poor taste.
