AUSTIN - Rocker Ted Nugent said Monday that Gov. Rick Perry wants him to deliver this blunt message to anyone who didnt like the Confederate flag T-shirt the performer wore at the Republican inaugural ball in Austin last week: Drop dead.
Perry aides gave a slightly different account, but agreed the two talked and said the governor defended Nugents right to wave the Confederate flag and to be controversial.
In an extended interview with the Star-Telegram, Nugent said Perry called him over the weekend to express his support for the guitarist and the Confederate symbol that was emblazoned on his T-shirt at the Jan. 16 event.
(Perry) called me to tell me, when they attack me for wearing the rebel flag, be sure you tell them that I, as governor, support the waving of the rebel flag at the Laredo airport, alongside with the American, Texas and Mexican flags, and tell them to drop dead.

He may be from Michigan, but Crawford's got him now, and we'd a whole lot rather have him than sister Sheehan.
BTW, darn Rick Perry!!!! I'm all wormed at him over the Trans-Texas Corridor, and suddenly he grows a backbone and starts acting like a Texan again.

"Uncle Ted is from Michigan. I don't think Michigan was part of the Confederacy. : )" No, it was the state that sent the Michigan Black Hats. One of the most hardened units in the Union army and were prominent in the battle of Gettysburg. When Lee was probing around Gettysburg, he expected little contact with Northern units. Instead, a minor skirmish ended up putting his forces face to face with the Michigan regiment of the Black Hat brigade. The rest, as they say, is history.

Thanks for the new tag line, Nuge.

Just goes to show that there are still Rebels in both the North and the South. All is not lost!

Terrible Ted For President!
Doesn't do drugs! Supports the constitution, and demands respect for the laws of the country, to appeal to Republicans. Has a mouth like Harry Truman and banged more women than Bill Clinton to appeal to Democraps, and his campain stops would literally rock out!
Verses McCain, Gulliani and Romney, Teds beats these pansys hands down! Time to draft Ted and scare the living shite out of every Muslim on the planet!

I believe the Iron Brigade or the Black Hats were from Wisconsin. But, I would be very interested if you could alert me to a Michigan Brigade of Black Hats. I have only heard of the Brigade from Wisconson.
