Project 21 chairman Mychal Massie says Planned Parenthood advocates abortions -- particularly in the black community.
"How can a civil rights group that claims to support underprivileged blacks embrace an organization created expressly to hasten the demise of black people?" Massie asked in a statement LifeNews.com received.
It's staggering how so many in the civil rights movement fail to see the implicit racism of the left.

They should be. Wasn't one of the original stated goals of PP eugenics?

Absolutely right. Kill off the "lower races" as well as other various "defectives". Another outfit complicit in this is, sadly, The March of Dimes, which figures the best way to "prevent birth defects" is to kill off the defectives.
To: Emmett McCarthy
It's hideous. I'm surprised more aren't outraged.

Margaret Sanger (1883-1966)
Founder of Planned Parenthood
"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." ~ Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people.
On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.
On the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her "Plan for Peace." Birth Control Review, April 1932
On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
"More children from the fit, less from the unfit -- that is the chief aim of birth control." Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
And there's lots more here if you can stomach it:

"In a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press released in August of 2006, 70 percent of black Protestants said that abortion should be prohibited or eliminated."
Yet how many black Democrat Congressmen (or white Democrat Congressmen from black-majority districts) have pro-life voting records? Exactly zero. Sanford Bishop of Georgia sometimes votes pro-life, but is by no means a pro-lifer.

They made the mistake of solving the problem they were founded to solve. Instead of going out of business, they found a new one: birth defects are forever.

"How can a civil rights group that claims to support underprivileged blacks embrace an organization created expressly to hasten the demise of black people?" Massie asked in a statement LifeNews.com received. Although I'm happy that they are taking this stand, I think this statement is a little over the top. It has shades of the 'government gave black people crack' conspiracy to it.
This was never a sinister plot to exterminate just black babies. I think this movement was actually driven by young white women who found it 'inconvenient' to be pregnant. In the end it affects us all adversely, so let's not make it into some racist conspiracy.

Margaret Sanger continually shows up in the company of other racists. In fact, she was the guest speaker at a Ku Klux Klan rally in Silverlake, N. J. in 1926.[1] Not only did she not disassociate herself from these racist views, her own writings leave little doubt as to her sympathies. In implementing a plan called the "Negro Project," that was designed to sterilize Blacks and reduce the number of Black children being born in the south, Sanger wrote: "[We propose to] hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. And we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." [2]
Margaret Sanger and her organization began to be primary sponsors of abortion rights during her lifetime. But because she had associated herself with Adolph Hitler, praising him for his racial politics of eugenics, she changed the name of American Birth Control League to Planned Parenthood during WWII in order to disguise her racist past.[13] Today, her organization, Planned Parenthood, is still in the forefront of advocating abortion as a means of eliminating the unwanted and "unfit." Not only does the organization perform thousands abortions each year, it also receives 100's of millions of tax dollars each year through Federal and State Governments.[14] And rather than being in the forefront of a woman's right to choose, International Planned Parenthood is a primary advocate for the Chinese Government's policy of forcing women to have abortions against their will, and it also advocates for the sterilization of Third World non-Whites across the globe.[15] It seems that PP is "pro-choice" when trying to impress the U.S. media, but anti-choice in the actual implementation of its world-wide agenda.

I think you need to learn more about Margaret Sanger.I'm well aware of Sanger's views on eugenics. She was one twisted woman. She tried to equate eugenics with poverty, having observed that the poor, regardless of race, have more children than the rich white folks of her time. She was just as hell bent on exterminating the poor white trash as the black people.
