Lets do this right and set the political landscape on its head. Just one more note, a radically conservative candidate would have little chance of creating enough interest. It would have to be someone who is moderate and open to any view no matter what side of the political environment. That is a position for which I strive and I have changed some of my ideas as a result of debates here on FR. Check my bio. If you are interested, pass the word and let the debates begin - well, as soon as I get back to California would be good, but whenever.
Perhaps the time has come.
I want a government that makes lobbying illegal. I want a government that enforces the immigration laws. I want a country that embraces morality and ethics. I want wars waged to win.
So you think it's time for a revolution?
That time was about 40 years ago when the
Gov't and courts infringed our FREEDOM OF RELIGION
and our right to publicly and openly pray and discuss
our creator.
Low tax rates is what I support.
The longer you put off paying a big debt, the cheaper the dollars are when you pay it off, and letting the 'children' do it won't hurt as bad as some threaten.
First law should be a 6% cap on all tax rates. They could have all the progression they want, from 0% to 6% max.
N0 arbritrary numbers, a stated fixed 6%, while demonizing the double digit taxation.
This is an idea that has been bouncing around my head for a while as well. Hell, look what How-Weird Dean with the internet. The problem would be to get the MSM to even cover it. More on what I want from a candidate later
Third "parties" whose reason for being is the Presidency come and go.
Unless you can elect State Reps and Members of Congress, you'll never get anywhere.
I like it.
So IOWs... Diplomacy is the answer? Change the leadership through peaceful means... "...no one should be killed, at least not in a literal sense..." The left uses these same talking points.
Give it up pal... Unless the citizenry would have no problem getting a little bloody over your proposed ideology for change, it ain't never gonna happen. Especially when the grass roots effort is spawned from a PC, Non-Violent Forum....
That's the same as saying... "Hey, let's put a fourth party in charge in Iraq thru peaceful means!"
America is at that awkward stage.
It is too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. - Claire Wolfe
Eliminate "affirmative action" and all race-based preferences. Restore equality in hiring and college admission to white males.
Eliminate all aspects of PC which make us unsafe against terrorists from within the USA and from outside.
Expel those who use the laws of the USA to preach and practice hate against those who don't accept their ideology.
Eliminate government programs which do not solve the problem but only increase dependency on the government.
Eliminate laws which get in the way of free market transactions.
Control the borders and bar entry to all from countries that sponsor terrorism.
And a few other things as well.
Find someone who can give us that and I'm in.
Think Ross Perot
Think Bill Clinton
Think Semper
Think Hillary
I prefer taking a lesson from The Godfather movie...the baptism scene to be specific.
If Thomas Jefferson and George Washington were alive today, they would be fighting over the length of the list of people to be dispatched.
"It would have to be someone who is moderate and open to any view no matter what side of the political environment"
No way!!!!!
An Island Called Liberty
Dr. Suess meets Ayn Rand
Inside is a story of a right friendly land,
Where people were quick to lend a free hand.
With the best of intentions they passed many laws,
To fix what they felt were quite fixable flaws.
But the fixes, they found, were too much in the end,
For the bureaus and programs and taxes they penned.
Once the lessons were learned, heres what they knew:
The contentment of many cant come from the few.
We already have a "moderate" party........they're called the republicans.
Idea has some merit, but would require people to do a lot of internet reading. With the average American attention span of around 9 seconds coupled with the usual and customary room-temperature IQ, not much would really get done. The idea would soon fizzle, except for the die hard, politically conscious...and those are probably in the minority as the last congressional elections already demonstrated.
The GOP is run by pious passive wimps that are fully Tone Deaf.
