ST, I completely agree. And it looks like Dad didn't consider many alternatives..

A "weekend" assessment for a morphine addiction? And why wasn't Dad there to pick her up when she got out on Monday? Why did Dad let her hang out with a 24-year old drug dealer in the first place?

No, what this guy did was completely wrong, and he should thank his stars that he only got 10 years.

wow, do you have alot to learn.

On the contrary. I did leave out a few details such as be sure to mop away the bloody drag marks that come from dragging the body....

Yup, and be sure to put his fingerprints on the inside doorknob. And make sure the gun you plant isn't registered to you. And make sure the neighbors don't see you.

Staging a home invasion shooting scene is much harder than this guy thinks.

Obviously. And if one doesnt have a wiundow on the front door, then smash a window closest to the front door, or a basement window. :-)

Not to me... if his daughter was a junkie, he should have put her in treatment... not gun down her dealer.

Perhaps you missed these paragraphs?:

"On RCMP advice, the couple had Jadah committed under a Mental Health Act warrant for a weekend assessment of her drug problem at the Yorkton hospital's psychiatric ward.

On the Monday of her release, she was picked up by friends and reunited with Hayward at the house where they lived."

But... Drugs are a victimless crime. I always ask the fools who advocate drug legalization(almost to a one, drug abusers themselves) "Which of your children would you surrender to drugs"???

Meth is a byproduct of the war on Drugs, to use a result of the WOD to justify it is wrong. If Drugs were legal, there would be no need to make poisons such as meth to get around the WOD in the first place. Think about what happened during Prohibition, lots of folks died from bad moonshine or what have you. After Prohibition was lifted the market for such poisons pretty much disappeared.

For the children is bull****! Look at the payroll for those waging the WOD. That is why it exists.

If there was no WOD, the girl who caused her dad so many problems, would not of had the drug dealer boyfriend. He would of found some other way to earn a living.

Just because I left out alot of details, doesnt mean that I dont know what I'm doing.

(What am I doing?)

Why is killing a drug dealer a bad thing???

Would it make you happy if people began randomly killing both drug dealers and drug users?

If you include illegals in that you've got a deal!

I hope it's clear to the cops out there that I am making a joke. Otherwise I'm in big trouble.

Perhaps Daddy should have had the parenting skills to not permit his 1 year old daughter not to date a 24 year old man and to not let his daughter become a Junkie.

Don't you realize, here, that what you're doing is committing a crime, as opposed to self-defense. The idea is simply that you can't go "cleaning up the city" from your own motivations. It doesn't work that way. That's the point.

So, while you may think you're doing great by doing this "frontier justice" -- I can't help thinking about this headstone that I saw on "Boot Hill" -- which said "Hanged by Mistake" (some frontier justice of the time, with a bunch of citizens chasing down a guy and hanging him, until they found out it was the wrong guy; ooops, too late...

On the other hand, the reason why you're justified in shooting someone when they go for you and put your life in danger -- it's because that's well within the law and it's either *you or him*. That's justified.

You just can't go around doing it any other way. If you think you can -- that's what gives gun owners a bad name.

Regards,
Star Traveler

He put her in a some type of weekend program at a hospital but when released, did not pick her up but instead allowed her friends to pick her up and take her to the boyfriends house.

Restraining orders do not give carte blanche authority to the holder to use deadly force to enforce it. That's what the police are for. If they show back up on your property and are not waving a weapon in their hand then you really do not have the legal basis to shoot them. You call 911 and let the police deal with it. Now if the guy busts back into your house and threatens you, especially if he has a weapon, than that is an entirely different situation altogether. Just make sure he's breathed his last by the time police get there because it's your word against his and he's not talking.
