With a few dissents, Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) was elected general chair of the Republican Nat'l Cmte this afternoon. RNC general counsel Mike Duncan was elected chair.
The Constitution Party is very happy right now. It probably won't last too long for them, but they are happy right now.
>The RNC can stop sending me their junk mail.<
I've tried everything to get off their mailing list with no success. Maybe marking their mail "return to sender" would do the trick. Mehlman never listened to what we had to say anymore than W does.
Frankly, I don't care care how you vote, given that NJ is a solid blue state...lol.
Haley's the best and LA seems to like democrat governors and democrats in most other offices too.
I am more and more convinced that we have been infiltrated.
"Might folks recall that this guy's job has NOTHING to do with immigration?"
Have you not heard of the Martinez-Hagel immigration bill that gives amnesty to just about anyone who wants it? With him leading the GOP no one but the open border flaks will donate to the RNC.
Saw this hispanic/mexican woman breast feeding what appeared to be a 2-year old at the mall (in Greenville, SC) about a week before Christmas...out in the open, with her big fat breast hanging out and little junior just sucking away. Thought it was totally immodest, IMHO, classless. So I felt compelled to let her know that although in Mexico it may be the natural, okay thing to do, in America, a little modesty would be in order. But first, I asked her if she "habla'd/comprende English" -- about the extent of my Espanol! (By the way, she appeared to be stunned by my comment to her...as if she couldn't believe I had the nerve to say anything...which I even surprised myself! Can't believe nobody else said anything to her, as the mall was packed with Christmas shoppers! In fact, maybe somebody already had, but she just ignored them.) Who knows?! This is NOT my father's America--not anymore.
I concur, Miss Marple. We'll have to see what we can do about it. :0)
With Martinez at the helm, all conservatives say "good by" to the WH after W leaves. It won't be occupied by a conservative for at least 8 years. Nothing like handing Congress and the WH over to the RATS.
I don't know how you can possibly infer such a thing. I think my comments are perfectly clear.
Hardly my fault NJ doesn't have a viable GOP.
It is very, very obvious.
Not saying its your fault, just demonstrating that your little plan does not work. RINOs lose too.
Yeah.
Didn't he have baggage? I seem to think he was wimpy too. Clean candidates can win.
Name one race other than AZ CD8 where the NRCC unethically interfered in the PRIMARY election. The party leadership - from the county level all the way up to national leadership - sabotaged Graf's chances in the Primary and the General. They wanted the pro-abort, open borders RINO and they threw a temper tantrum when they lost the Primary. And this betrayal by party leadership capped 20 years of observing the same crap. Except this time I was a bit closer to it to find out the inside details and what I saw, on the part of party leadership, was beyond disturbing.
Combine party leadership betrayal and sabotage with the nationwide bloodbath experienced by Republican candidates and there is little wonder that Graf lost. But, as usual, you want to blame conservatives for the loss. I'm here in AZ and was a campaign insider. I saw it all. You're wherever the hell you are with your head firmly crammed up your ass and don't have a clue.
Even Free Republic broke its long standing rule of not attacking Republican candidates during the GENERAL election. But you and the other harpie hags couldn't resist attacking another conservative in the long line of conservatives you've worked for years to undermine.
It should be obvious to everyone who reads your posts here just where you stand. You always attack the conservatives, you take pleasure when a conservative loses an election or is somehow damaged by MSM or Dem attacks, and you spend most of your time cheering on the liberal Republican candidates. Your agenda is quite clear and equally offensive.
Not only was he clean, his father was a very popular former governor and chair of the 9/11 commission.
