ABC's 'Boston Legal' Takes Cheap Shots To The Right
NewsBusters ^ | January 17, 2007 | Michelle Humphrey

Posted on 01/18/2007 3:45:17 PM PST by EveningStar

Last night ABC’s Boston Legal was packed full of political jabs. Lawyer Denny Crane (played by William Shatner) was placed on the "No Fly List" and when Alan Shore (played by James Spader) asked if Crane has called for help, his response was, "Well, I can’t get anybody. I called Tom Delay, his number’s disconnected. Foley has got his hands full, Frist said, "Don’t take it personally." I called Clarence Thomas; his office said he was indisposed." Shore then asked, "How you tried going right to the top?" Crane’s response was, "Cheney?"

I saw it --- always cheap and ugly shots at GOP.

Teachers union = great.

Homeland Security = dolts.

Every entrepreneur Spader cited is a damn liberal dem. I watch it for entertainment because I love Shatner's character Denny Crane.

You would be saddened to know how many citizens get their world view from shows like this.

Did you hear Rush yesterday? He said that this is his favorite comedy show on TV. Although I liked the show, I love the characters and the quirkiness of it, I found the anti-Conservative jokes so low, it was hard for me to watch. Rush said he can laugh at Conservatives. To each his own. Sam loves it and wants to watch it. God intervened, because for some reason, it's doesn't air here in Bullhead City and I don't know why.

I don't watch the show. Larry Elder mentioned this and played clips. I then googled and found this article. Someone called in and said he loves the show but after the last episode, he will no longer watch it. He said the show started going downhill when they added Candice Bergen to the cast.

They do not use canned laughter. This is a well done program, whether you agree with their political statements or not.

Yup. All politics aside, Shatner and Spader play off each other brilliantly.

Have you ever heard Sean Hannity's "Man on the Street"? It will make you sick how ignorant people are and they admit they vote Democrat.

If there isn't, who have I been sending my tax checks to!!!????!! We're on the border of AZ,CA and NV. On the Colorado River, across from Laughlin, NV (I see it from my window) and about 90 minutes away from Las Vegas.

I don't watch network. Period. There are too many alternatives and I will not enable their brainless liberalism, no matter how well executed.
