I'm sure the University of Central Florida will take it. Where do we apply?

Well, the Methodists do seem to be the most liberal church. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

SMU is tainted by the NCAA football "death penalty" if I recall. They were caught recruiting religiously.

Lots of commies in the upper reaches of the Methodist church. Most methodists are unaware of the far-left leanings of their top brass.

The three Methodist churches here in Huntsville are very left wing.

The Methodist Church....

...where politicians and liberals go to pretend to be Christians.

Being illiterate, what use would they have of a presidential library, or even of a common one?

Was SMU in the lead? Were they even a serious contender?

Sounds about right for them. In similar fashion, the new dean of students at the Methodist School of Theology at Emory University is a woman who brings the great expertise to the job of having a Phd (in political science) and she and her parents have been life-long "civil rights" activists; just what "Christian" theology students need, right?? She just left her job as the head of the national United Methodist Office titled the Women's Division, two years ahead of the four-year+ period they thought she had committed to. Maybe the fact that the United Methodist Women (national organiztion of local church women which supplies the bulk of the $$$ backing the Women's Division) saw its membership go to zero in over 750 United Methodist churches in the last two years had something to do with it. Is the United Methodist Church Women's Division's loss Emory's gain??? I wonder what the actual theology professors at Emory think.

These are probably the same Methodists who think Fidel Castro is a good guy.

I would be interested to know if there are any private universities with a specific religios affiliation that have a presidential library, seems like most go to the larger public university of the state.

The problem for Bush is the two major public universities in Texas are already taken with his dad's at Texas A&M and UT with LBJ. I would think he could go with Texas Tech since it's west Texas sorta near Midland/Odessa where he lived for a while. I know they're Methodists though and his wife went to SMU so I understand that choice also.

The George and Laura Bush are Methodists. I would not be surprised in the least bit if, in 2009, they bolted for AMiA or the Anglican Network along with his parents.

As par for the course, the Dallas Morning News is giving far too much publicity to these liberal morons.

Every article they print regarding the libary has a big but (not like Hillary's but big)

It's like BUT some people oppose, etc.

If they cared about Dallas, they would be extolling the great advantage of having the library here, but noooooo.

I hate that paper.

I doubt if John and Charles Wesley would recognize the United Methodist Church as a part of thier vision.

Rough week for me as a member of the UMC.

First, I learned of the UMC amicus brief in the Webster case.

Next, I learned that the UMC is a member of the pro-abotion group "Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice."

Now this.

I'm at an utter loss for words.
