STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) - "Goodfellas" actor Paul Sorvino pulled a gun on his daughter's ex-boyfriend after the man pounded on her hotel door and made threats, the daughter testified Tuesday.
"He got in my father's face and said, 'Go ahead, Paul, shoot, I ain't done nothing wrong,'" Amanda Sorvino, 36, told a Monroe County judge. The judge granted her request for a protection-from-abuse order against Daniel Snee, 21.
Amanda Sorvino testified Snee threatened to kill her at a hotel Jan. 3 in Stowe, Vt.; she said she locked herself in the bathroom and called both police and her father. Her 67-year-old father showed up before police, she testified. When police arrived, the young man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, she said.
Sorvino said that she met Snee when he was hired to care for her horses and that they began dating, but that the relationship soured. She said he then began threatening her, and her father "if he ever got in the way."
Sorvino testified that although the threat happened in another state, she wanted a court order that would protect her at another home she has in Monroe County. The order lasts for three years.
Snee could not be reached for comment because he was jailed in Vermont, it was not immediately clear if he has lawyer.
Paul Sorvino, the star of 1982's "That Championship Season," did not accompany his daughter to court Tuesday. His screen credits also include roles in "Goodfellas" and "The Cooler."
He is also the father of Mira Sorvino, who won an Oscar for her role in Woody Allen's 1995 comedy "Mighty Aphrodite."
Do the math. 21 into 39 how many times.
I'd bet there was no "dating" in the typical sense and the "relationship" referred to was the woman doing her young stableboy after riding sessions.
"Goodfellas" vs. "Sex and the City"
"Goodfellas" wins.
A) The illusion of youth? B) Romanticizing the past? C) Romanticizing a past she never had? D) Is it going to keep snowing?
In my central New Jersey gun club about 70% of the 3,000 members are of Italian descent. It's not all the soprano's here.
Google: "Mal Reynolds" and "Firefly" and you'll get plenty of versions.
OH, I see. :-)
Well, Deaf, you just quote away, and VRW, you link away and please both ping me as often as possible!

;-)
Well now that I think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
I might just have to just watch the whole series again. Not sure which I enjoy better, watch Capt. Tight Pants or listening to Joss' awesome dialog. :-)
Thanks for the reminder...
I believe the other daughter, Mira, is married to a man much younger than herself.
Snee is reportedly going is writing a book about this period in his life. No name yet has been released, but his character will be named "Heathcliffe".
WINNER!!!! Nice line.
"Mira is 39. I believe the other is 36. Talk about desperate. What in god's name does a 21 year old have to offer a women her age?'
When I was dating "the older women" it was due to the math. You see 21 goes into 39 more times than 39 into 21.
That was such a great show. I don't understand how Fox can keep the mindless dreck like "Stargate" on for years, but cancel Firefly after less than a full season. I have never seen a cast that gelled as well as the cast of Firefly did. They were even better together than the cast from the early seasons of Buffy.
I thought her mistake was don't date the help or your employees.
LOL
I think we would have enjoyed seeing each of the fascinating characters develop over 5 or 6 years' worth of shows. :-(
Never was a Buffy fan, don't do vampires, but my kids love/loved the series (they still catch it on re-runs) for the same reason they love/loved Firefly. I think they watch every episode the season it was on the air, and we've all watched the DVDs many times.
I've heard talk that Serenity did well enough that Joss had talked about doing something more with the show's concept on Internet offerings only. But I also understand that most of the cast has moved on, so don't know what shape it could take...
Not to mention several were killed off in the movie (Serenity).
It's not quite the same...a 21 year old is an adult. A YOUNG adult, but an adult.
I see your point though.
