Supporters of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) are being told this morning there will be an 11 a.m. Chicago time conference call. Expected to be discussed is Obama filing papers to officially launch his 2008 White House run. Obama is expected to hit the road to travel to early primary states in the coming days.
The call is being organized by Nate Tamarin, who was the political director for Obama's Washington D.C. based political action committee the Hope Fund. He now works with Pete Giangreco, the founder of the Strategy Group in Evanston, expected to handle Obama's direct mail in the 2008 campaign.

Half the Senate is running for President.
I would support a Constitutional Amendment banning all current Senators from the Presidency or Vice Presidency. All those gasbags have ever run are their mouths.

The problem is that this guy is very good looking. Just the man for the Oprah and View audience. Some of these women are so ignorant, that they don't take his inexperience into consideration. I don't even know what this guy's position is on anything, and he wants to run for president???

Obama mania for someone who hasn't done a single thing. To be fair, in spite of his limited experience I would have to say that Obama is probably the first truly credible African-American candidate to ever run for POTUS.
In the end though, when push comes to shove in the primaries I just can't see him beating out Hillary. The Clintons are simply too popular amongst the liberals. I think she might even get more votes from the black community than he does.

. . . for someone who hasn't done a single thing.
It almost worked for Jon Carry and his 19 do-nothing years in the Senate . . . Well, yeah -- but you have to admit that John F'n doing nothing is vastly superior to John F'n doing something! ;-)

Obama is probably the first truly credible African-American candidate to ever run for POTUS. Gee, comparing him to Jesse Jackass and Tawana Sharpton - not exactly a high mark to beat...

Obama is expected to hit the road to travel to early primary states in the coming days. So - when does this guy actually WORK? It seems to me this cult of personality around him is dangerous.

"Obama is expected to hit the road to travel to early primary states in the coming days." Hmmmmm.....IMHO, it should read:
"Obama is expected to walk on Lake Michigan to start his travel to early primary states in the coming days.
Obama also said to kick off his campaign, as a thank you to the voters, that all concession stands will not be needed by the 60,000 or so fans, and will be closed for the Bears upcoming playoff game as Obama says he is bringing a few fish and a couple loaves of bread.".....
