So here's a question that I've been pondering for the last couple of hours (I figured that I'd save it for the new thread).
Have you ever bought anything from seeing a link here on FR? Something that you wouldn't immediately think of? (Like "FR" merchandise.)
In the past couple of days, I stumbled across links to the one place that makes Dr. Pepper with real sugar instead of "high fructose corn syrup", and today, I discovered the new Hershey Kisses postage stamps.
I'll be ordering a few cases of soda prior to the Super Bowl (when quite a few people are coming over), and I'll be needing those stamps before St. Valentine's Day.
And that's not even counting the books that I might pick up after reading the F.R. Book Club thread. (Doesn't really count, because I'll try to get those from the library.)
So, anybody else?

First letter I received from my brother,dated 2/3/91.
It was good to hear from you and know that ---- is doing well.
The mail is about 10 days behind. We don't get much news from home,so it's good to hear the public is behind us.

Ah, thanks so much for sharing your part of Gulf War History with us.
Please thank your brother for his service.
To: Soaring Feather
Thank you, and I would like to echo what I read here some days ago by someone.
Thank you to the USAF.
They did us a great service during the war.
And by that, I mean my ship in particular.
I will never forget it and I will always honor them.
(Now, give me a Jarhead to smack...)

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION
The light of God surround you The love of God enfold you The power of God protect you The presence of God watch over you Wherever you are, God is, And all is well. Amen.
BLESS THIS HOUSE Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.

LOL!
I am pretty fond of the Jarheads! We had some in my family.
We are very proud of all our branches of service.
Thanks again, Enosh.
Thanks to all who served in The Gulf War, and all the wars our nation has been called to.
