After starting with >13,000 possibilities, the 2nd annual Best Of Today's Toons is over & all the votes have been tallied. Neither hanging nor pregnant chads were encountered & Diebold equipment was not used. First, a few stats. 29 of the finalists received 1st-place votes. There were 71 valid entries received & thanks to all of you who took the time to vote!! Votes were cast, in order of preference, for between 1 & 10 of the 44 finalists. Cartoonists Glenn McCoy(5), Michael Ramirez(4), Gary Varvel(2), Mike Shelton(2) & Paul Nowak(2) all had the multiple items in the finals. The method of scoring was as follows: A 1st-place vote received 10 pts., a 2nd-place vote earned 9 pts., ..., down to a 10th-place vote which got 1 pt.
If you'd like to inquire about possibly helping (as one FReeper has already done) with the Best Of 2007, FReepmail me by the end of this month at the latest (shortly after which the Best Of January 2007 will be determined) & I'll tell you what would be involved. And now, the results:

Thank you~ Keeper thread~
The 'swing voter' cartoon is still one of the best. Cracks me up everytime I see it. Proof that sometimes real life really is funny.
bttt
It was one of my top choices. Wrote to cartoonist Glenn McCoy about a week ago to tell him that he placed 5 of his toons in the finals. Per his request, will be sending him the results later today...as soon as the Admin Moderator changes the subject to read "2006 Today's Toons Favorites (Results)"...
Thanks, Pookie!
