Not under any circumstances ?

That seems foolish to me. I guess Dr. Dobson will be allowing Hillary Clinton to reenter the WH unopposed.

These idiots are the ones who have hurt the Republican Party by turning it into the party of the bible thumpers instead of the party of fiscal conservatism. ...

Hallelujah and amen!

You are aware that Reagan Embarrassment dropped this thread in attempt to further divide FR, aren't you? He is as intent upon disrupting FR as he is in embarrassing the great name of Reagan.

I couldn't care less what Dr. Dobson says about anything.

Would it be better for the Republican party if all the "Bible thumpers" just left the party? This is only an honest question.

I'm really starting to admire Dobson. Few men of prominence would make such a strong statement against the establishment-anointed candidate.

Putting his Christian values into action and saying what needs to be said.

Bravo Dr. Dobson and God Bless You!

Hearing McLame respond to the border fence didn't help with the non-religious conservatives, "I don't think it'll help much (stem illegal immigration), but if they (conservatives) insist, I'll build the g*d da**ed thing!"

Gotta love this guy, when pressed, he shoots off his mouth and out comes the truth.

They will begin to understand sometime after the next terrorist strike (after Leahy and Specter demand the Admin. quit "reading Aunt Ethel's mail or listening in on innocent phone calls.)

Dobson just said what many people have said for years. I can't understand why anyone would think that this is a big deal. Why would any Christian support any of the "top three" candiates? The big three for the GOP at this point are just plain horrible.

The Big guns in the GOP should be able to figure this out or maybe they just don't want to win in '08.

Only the stupid loud mouthed ones.

But don't you know, the Republicans lost because they weren't socially conservative enough ;-)

No I think they are at the point that even when something happens some will continue to rationalize and some will just go insane from the pressure in their minds of guilt. I don't think these people can ever face the hell they have created. Reality is so far blinded in these minds. I see it in so many everyday. The biggest problem is they are fooled in believing NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Oprah, Dr. Phil, the DEMS, the GOP RINOs, most newspapers, and Europe leaders are telling them the truth.

Without the "Bible thumpers" there would be no Republican party. Just "Democrat party one" and Democrat party two." And "Democrat party two" would die rather quickly...

But, you see, the loud mouthed ones are only voicing what the rest are feeling. If a Republican politician can't inspire confidence in conservatives, why are they blamed for his failure?

It looks like thats what some in the Republican party want. Why else would they scapegoat conservative Christians for the failures in November?

Well, Dodson's disdain is the single most compelling reason to vote for McCain that I can think of. Not compelling enough, but whatever.

Without the Torie wing "Enterprisers," and for that matter "Upbeats" (Pew terms), there would be no viable GOP either. What you refuse to concede, in your pride, is that "we" need each other, however distasteful that might be, to both wings, or the three wings, or four (there is also a cateory called "pro government conservatives," mostly social conservative financially stressed looking for a government handout). Your category is called "social conservatives," I think.
