Hillary Surrenders
New York Sun ^ | January 12, 2007 | New York Sun Editorial

For a candidate who is portraying herself as the most hawkish of the Democrats — and who, at least to judge by Jeffrey Goldberg's dispatch in the latest New Yorker, is the most hawkish of the Democrats — Senator Clinton's reaction to President Bush's speech on Iraq was quite a disappointment. Mrs. Clinton came out against sending more troops, and her statement began with the words, "based on the president's speech." But based on Mrs. Clinton's statement, it doesn't sound like she even listened to the speech.

An ill-chosen moment to come out and backtrack . Her HINO's blind ambition and ruthlessness are matched on by her own.

I'm beginning to think that HRC's winning the Democrat nod for 2008 isn't inevitable. It isn't just conservatives who dislike her. There might still be hope for America.

Typical Democrat response they offer nothing as a solution and only criticize the President. Maybe if they would get onboard and convince their media standard bearers to help the U.S. win this one because after all it is a matter of our National Security. Ok I'm done day dreaming...

I'm starting to think that no one's buying the ol' Clinton magic/BS anymore. It's just old.

No, the Media will excuse her "inconsistencies" by ignoring them or by brushing them off as "learning experiences" until her coronation. I really believe that she knows that she MUST be elected Presidente at all costs this time, because after two years of the crud we are seeing now from the Demoncrats in Congress, pulling this country apart, the Islamofacists are plotting their next attack which will be catastrophic, then if Madame Herself "Don't LOOK at me" does get elected, she can seize unlimited power and rule as she desires.

"But based on Mrs. Clinton's statement, it doesn't sound like she even listened to the speech"

That's an understatement. It looks as if Hillary had this date circled on the calender and had a speech written for it months ago. First she whines about the influence Iran has in Iraq, and complains Bush failed to address it, when clearly Bush addressed the issue boldly, stating that Iran has been responsible for material support on our troops, and that he will put a stop to that.

It was more like a choreographed campaign speech, repeating the absurdities being echoed throughout the democrat parties' hallways of stupidity, calling for "negotiations" with the very ones who are contributing to the instability in Iraq, namely Syria, Saudis and Iran, giving them control over Iraq's future. the turning around and repeating the same thing Bush said about disrupting the influx of Jihadist from Syria and Iran.

Which is it Hillary? use the disruptor, or hold an intergalactic peace conference?

But there's only so much she can do about her popularity; she isn't omnipotent.

We can't disregard her power, but too often, some FReepers seem to think HRC and the MSM are all-powerful and godlike.

Sometimes Americans just get tired of certain people, and HRC has shown no ability to get above a certain level of general popularity; and that level is only dropping. Everyone knows who she is, and has a position on her, and she never polls above a certain level.

She peaked too soon--like six years ago.

LoL! Another forced photo op. You'd think the RATS would have caught on by now.
Ticks me off that these scum get to waste taxpayers money, risk the lives of troops just so they can go "look" at the situation in Iraq (from inside the barracks) and have pictures taken for their puplic.

They would't know what they were looking at in Iraq if they saw it anyways. Has the media asked Hillary just what she "saw" while in Iraq that bothered her?

Spot on, DW. She starts at 43% and goes downhill from there. Still, we must keep our guard up.

She lives by the 'finger in the wind' standard to see what is to her advantage. We can't take another term by her in the white house, you remember, the 'two for one' thing? She was the assistant President ya know.

Its going to be a rough ride if this woman really does become President. It is only then that she'll realize that she can't pass the buck to anyone else.

You know something? You're right. The Clinton methods and fingerprint are too familiar to us all now, and so are just plain old. You could say their antics are so very 60s.

Do you remember that congress, concerned about Iran's nuclear ambitions, banned aid to Russia if they continued to sell it to Iran? And, wsn't it clintonista algore that secretly and traitorously winked and looked the other way? Tell us all about Iran policy, Hillary! And then tell us how perfectly you handled the Balkans in 4 years (Oh, that's not done yet? They are still arguing about boundaries. Sounds like they need a political solution to me.)
