Devlin must know about it. So I wonder if he is going to claim that he was taking Shawn away from his real father because he was being abused by real father. (BARF)
I don't understand it either. Why not find stuff against the pervert Devlin! When all is said and done I hope the family of Shawn Hornbeck sue the media for all this crap they are spewing at them.
I think the media is just putting out the info. I don't think it is a concerted effort to destroy anyone.
But this information doesn't advance the story at all.
Just more fluff now that the families have gone into justified hiding.
Thing is Shawn's real father is Craig Aker's and his bio dad hasn't been in his life in years and died!
See I thought I'd read that also. That he died sometime before 2002 (the year Shawn was kidnapped). Now this reporter says he was convicted in 2002???

If Shawns bio father died in 1999, how could he be convicted in 2002?
Surely his real father did not die in 1999 since he was convicted in 2002? Unless they have the wrong person like they did when the report came out about Devlin (remember they thought he was a sexual offender in Utah and Texas?)
i don't but we need to get some confirmations on when exactly he died, oh, and his name!
Surely someone could find out Shawns bio father's name and when he died and if he was convicted of anything. This will backfire bigtime on the Post if they did not really check this out.
The thing about reporting, ANY reporting, is that it is ALWAYS wrong. They don't have to get it right. For the most part, it is all news readers that got it from a reporter that wrote the notes down in a fashion that no one could ever read a second time!
I know how it works. We get interviewed all the time. They ALWAYS get something wrong. Little or big, it doesn't make a difference to us because it is always fluff pieces. But rest assured, they always get something wrong.
Not a conspiracy, just the way it is.

Well his real bio father's last name is Hornbeck, Akers had not adopted Shawn yet so technically he is not Shawn's father yet in the legal sense.
Either they have the wrong Hornbeck or Shawn's bio father did not die in 1999. From what I know about the 1999 date is hearsy and I have not seen any proof of his real bio father being deceased. The man may be sitting in prison right now.
