Just heard at the top of the hour. Nifong is recusing himself from the Duke Case as prosecutor.

I saw the FOX NEWS ALERT and I was ready to say, "Fox confirms!" LOL. Nothing about that, but still good news. They found that 13-year-old boy alive apparently.

This man's career has just been flushed down the toilet. He is in full retreat, as well he should be, and he's trying, desperately, to find a way out. Mike, that won't happen. You are as guilty as he!! for malicious prosecution, malfeasance in office, and malpractice, and you are going to pay for this. Justice is slow, but in your case Mike, it will be like a slow torture. And, you deserve every bit of pain and disgrace that comes upon you.

You made only one contribution to the justice system in this country, you showed us arrogance, and avarice in it's most evil form.

I'm not sure (state special prosecutor), but I've just read that Nifong's letter re: recusal was to the state AG, asking THAT office (state[wide] attorneys) to take over.

Either way, the case should be gone soon, along with Nifong's bar membership.

Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong met in his office Thursday with the accuser in the Duke lacrosse case. Defense lawyers had served a subpoena on the woman addressed at Nifong's office. She was in the office Thursday and personally received the document, the subpoena said.
