FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) - The Federal Way School Board has put the brakes on schools showing former Vice President Al Gore's global warming movie, "An Inconvenient Truth."

In a vote last night, the board decided to require that an opposing view be presented in order for teachers to present the film.

The board voted 3 to 0, with two members absent.

Board president Ed Barney said he had received about a half-dozen complaints from parents that their child was taking the film as fact after viewing it at school.

Barney said the film had been shown at some high schools in the district.

Way to go Ed Barney and David Larson! They did not take long to make a decision.

...the board decided to require that an opposing view be presented in order for teachers to present the film.

But... why would an opposing view be needed? "Global warming" is irrefutable truth, isn't it? The "scientific community's consensus" is that "global warming" can no longer be denied.

What!?!?! That was just one side telling me all that???

Oh, well! ring on the other side.

"ring on the other side." should be "Bring on the other side".

AP lies, the school board is trying to INTERJECT balance in a DEBATE. Not indoctinate children with the lies and pseudoscience of the left.

If a child asks, "Is this going to be on the test?" the answer should be "Hell no!" and he should be permitted to sleep through this piece of propaganda.

Waiting for a school district to take this same approach to teaching about abortion and homosexuality.

It's important to let students know that many of the worlds top scientists disagree with Gore and his sheep. Only those who are afraid that Gore and the "environmentalists" would be exposed as frauds support denying students the opportunity to study alternate results.

Good! This disease known as Al Gore has to be stopped from infecting gullable minds with his lies and junk science. Where the hell is his degree in climatology?? This grad school failure and drop out suddenly wants to pretend he's an expert on anything?? The man can't even control the grease content of his own head and we're suppose to believe he knows how to control global temperatures??

Schools have no business patronizing this serial liar and spending tax money to purchase or rent his lying joke of a movie.

They should now require that all students who were shown the movie, read Michael Chrichton's State of Fear and discuss it in class. It's a very well documented fictional work, which shows the global warming issue for what it is, leftist politics as usual.

Amazing. Such a liberal bastion actually questioning the environmentalists' dogma gives me some hope that not all children are being brainwashed in our public schools.
