Lisa I am nearly 20 years your senior. I had what was diagnosed as terminal lung cancer in 1997. I beat it for nine and a half years.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with an extension of the lung cancer that resulted in a brain tumor. I had brain surgery about 3 months ago. My realistic chances of long term survival are slim and none. I am prepared to die.

It is long past time for you to forget about me and get on with your life. I am very happy for you and your new guy. I wish you both all the best.

But please don't feel sorry for me. I don't fear death any more than I feared life. I will fight for my life as long as it is practical to do so. Then I will accept death as nearly all humans do.. as natural and inevitable.

Well you do have some wonderful lobster, and we do not. I remember one summer in the 60's when I was about 14 driving your coast eating lobster. Dad drove, mom picked lobster meat, and my brother, sister and I stuffed ourselves. When we finished one, we would stop at a roadside trailer/cabin/ cafe and buy another, freshly cooked and wrapped in newspaper. Beautiful state.
