A few months ago I was diagnosed with an extension of the lung cancer that resulted in a brain tumor. I had brain surgery about 3 months ago. My realistic chances of long term survival are slim and none. I am prepared to die.
It is long past time for you to forget about me and get on with your life. I am very happy for you and your new guy. I wish you both all the best.
But please don't feel sorry for me. I don't fear death any more than I feared life. I will fight for my life as long as it is practical to do so. Then I will accept death as nearly all humans do.. as natural and inevitable.

Honey, remember, I went through the worst of this last bout with you. I don't have a "new guy", just someone I met, who could never live up to you.
Remember, it was not my decision to end our relationship, it was yours.
You'll always be the love of my life, and you have such a fighting spirit. As I've told you before, you'll probably outlive me.
