Successes in the WOT are taboo subjects. Failures receive 99% of the DBM attention. In any news media other than that which we have in the United States, the passengers of Flight 93 would already have a federal Monument dedicated in their honor and in place commemorating their sacrifice and the incalculable amount of lives and damage their heroism averted.

Has anyone projected the catastrophic damage to our nation if that plane would have hit the capital building or worse yet the White House?

I have an aerial of Washington. ALL the major buildings surround the Capitol. I do believe that the Capitol was THEE target and one plane was supposed to plow into the other.

The pilot only missed the correct altitude by a few feet. He should have skimmed the Pentagon....continued along the Capitol Mall into the Capitol.

The phone message from Atta about the pending attack said: "A cake with a stick hanging down".....a perfect visual of the Capitol Mall and the Whitehouse.

That is true, and not just for the reasons you suppose. I have acquaintances and friends who work for some agencies in DC, and they say, "You have no idea how many terror attacks we have prevented." But the attempts are not announced. The authorities don't want the bad guys back home in Jihadistan to know which operations we've cleaned up and which cells we've destroyed. They certain don't want the folks back home to figure out our methods.

They tried to take down the world's economy at the World Trade Center. They FAILED.
They tried to kill 50,000 people in those buildings. They FAILED.

They tried to destroy our Military Command structure at the Pentagon. They FAILED.

They tried to destroy our central government with FLT 93. They FAILED.

Only God, Satan/allah, and OBL know exactly what else they failed at, but us mere mortals know one thing: They FAILED.
