It all started with my old Toyota MR-2 that we painted and gave to my son. Since then in 2001 we have had several cars that we have painted like flags.
This is our latest incarnation and I think it is possibly the best!
We now have 3 special shape balloons. The American Flag - America One, the Space Shuttle - Patriot & our newest balloon- The Lighthouse we affectionately call Flighthouse.
A little background on the balloons. I blame Jim Robinson and Free Republic. Coming to this forum, I really wanted to do something. Something big... After 9/11, we just decided to damn the torpedoes and build America One. The US Flag balloon was a BIG hit all around the country and still is. Then apparently, we were hooked. So, we bought the Space Shuttle Patriot. Now, we have our next little project which is a lighthouse. It will be coming to a ballooning event near you I hope in the coming years.
Thanks Jim for inspiring us to take on such BIG projects.

That is very cool.
We have had several people from Nasa and the Space Shuttle project come talk to us out on the field. They love our ship as much as we do. It looks like the real thing when it flies.

It looks like the real thing when it flies. I've never seen the real thing (someday maybe I will!), but I saw innumerable models "flying" in wind-tunnels long before the first launch.
