So American troops are surging in Iraq, and withdrawing along our own border. What's wrong with this picture? Nothing, say the journalistic and political elites. Yet, before anything else, what we need is a surge of troops on the U.S.-Mexican border, which is a lot closer to home than Baghdad. On Jan. 6 The Arizona Republic reported that a small team of National Guard troops "abandoned their post near the border southwest of Tucson as four gunmen approached from Mexico."

Bush's position on immigration has been growing steadily more damaging, year by year. Pinkerton is not your average Newsday writer, but I think this story is too good for the MSM to pass up, even though they would hate to see any toughening up of border security.

I find it ironic that the truth is that Americans have wimped out on President Bush.

ROFL, you linked to a thread proving my point. One thread you support a drug smuggler. On this thread you try to claim that incursions by MexMil/drug smugglers are all a figment of everone's imagination.

One thread you support a drug smuggler.

False. I disagreed with your lame defense of your two felony convicted co-workers.

On this thread you try to claim that incursions by MexMil/drug smugglers are all a figment of everone's imagination.

Again false. My post (#2) inferred nothing of the sort. It pointed out that you and yours are nutcakes.

At least you're consistant!

This is another example on how we have lost control of our border and I the blame falls on the POTUS.

If you think thats kneejerk or crazy.... I wouldn't call you a nutcase but willfully obtuse.

Post 9-11, the failure to secure borders or enforce immigration laws fall squarely on Bush. There is NO national security without homeland security, and there is NO homeland security without secure borders and controlling who enters and stays in your own country.

"...Fact is, This problem has existed since the the 80s."

But 9-11 didn't happen until 2001.

Care to explain? This should be interesting.

Really scary thing is that the Departmentof Homeland Security tried to hide this by marking the report For Official Use Only, Law Enforcement Sensitive. Somehow it got out anyway, no thanks to the Federal government.

It appears that tax-paying citizens have become the enemy and cannot be trusted.

"It appears that tax-paying citizens have become the enemy and cannot

Just because we pay the bills, we're not entitled to know what's going
coming down the pike.
At least that's the attitude. Even of the Dubya Administration.
We're just expected to lay back and let it happen.
