President Limbaugh Shoots TV Guest Spots
RushLimbaugh.com ^ | 8 Jan 2007 | Rush Limbaugh

I had a great weekend, folks, but, I'll tell you what: I went out and did some television Saturday in Los Angeles. There's a new show that probably will air soon, I'm not sure when, but it's called The Half Hour NewsHour." That's the working title of it now. I guess that's subject to change. Well, actually it's not, because if it changes I gotta go back out there, but nevertheless it's a parody newscast, takeoff on liberal media newscasts, and I play the president of the United States in the opening segments of this program.

I went out and shot three takes. Ann Coulter is the vice president. (laughing) It's hilarious. The whole thing is hilarious. I went out there and shot three opening segments. These things run anywhere from a minute to 90 seconds. It took eight hours to do these three segments on Saturday, all day long. I did it in the Fox Studios, then had a big after party at the Grand Havana Club. What a bash we had. I left about midnight to fly home and rolled into the driveway yesterday morning about 8:30. I hate spending a whole day coming back from the Left Coast in an airplane, because you lose three hours just because of the time zone differences. I got home at 8:30. I wanted to watch the football games in toto from the comfort of my fashionable estate, which I did. We were watching the Seattle-Dallas game on Saturday night at the Grand Havana Club. There's one in New York atop the 666 Building and one in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. They are owned and operated by Stan Shuster, and they are outposts of civility now.

You can actually smoke cigars while having dinner, and they've got televisions all over the place. Yes, they're legal, Mr. Snerdley. We were watching the Dallas-Seahag game, and I just could not believe the way that game ended. You talk about the highs and lows? These people, these young kids, these athletes, everything they do is on the national stage. It's public, and the highs and lows they go through! Tony Romo, the savior of the season earlier this year for the cowboys, now the goat. Somebody turned to me and said, "Rush, what's the name of that Red Sox player that blew the ground ball through his legs in the World Series against the Mets?" I said, "That was Bill Buckner." So people were already starting to think that this was Bill Buckner II with Tony Romo. He's young; he'll get over it, but wow. To have the game... They still had to kick the field goal but it was less distance than an extra point.

Pretentious as ever. How does he relate to my life in the upper Midwest? Sorry folks stopped listening years ago.

Do they have a sense of humor in the upper Midwest?

Judging by 'A Prairie Home Companion', not much of one.

At the casinos in Biloxi/Gulfport, one can smoke cigarettes, cigars, even pipes anywhere in the building.

They used to have smoke free gaming areas; don't know if they still do since they rebuilt after Katrina. They were never truly smoke free; they couldn't be with all the open floors, but the 'smoke free' areas were a little better than the regular areas. Those open areas could just choke you!

Limbaugh/Coulter ticket. One can dream.

And Michelle Malkin as Secretary of State.

Rush Limbaugh as White House Press Secretary.

G. Gordon Liddy as Secretary of Defense.

If only it could be.

Whoops, That should be Sean Hannity as White House Press Secretary.

Arrogance is hilarious everywhere, I suppose.

Don't be fooled by the blowhard bit - he is a very nice guy and has done more for conservatives than any of our elected officials.

The value of a Rush Limbaugh can't be calculated. Pure teaching, great analysis of political goings-on, and he knows the democrats inside and out.

What complaint could you have with Rush? A blowhard? So what!

Besides it is mainly his "personna". Watch how he treats the callers on his show - pure class and kindness.

Sorry, I have to take exception to that. Sean's a good guy, but he's simply not "fast enough on his feet" to handle that environment. Perhaps Laura Ingraham or Mark Levin would be better choices.

Like what? Talk? Get busted for drugs?
Basically he just talks. Most humans can talk, it's not a talent.

Pure teaching,

He presumes to "teach" therefore he assumes his listeners are ignorant.
As a listener, you assume the role of an ignorant person.

Should I need to learn something, I will choose to hire a qualified person
to teach me. Not a media darling with a "show".

What complaint could you have with Rush?

He talks too much.

VP Ann??? Wouldn't that be a hoot!! I'd love to see her slice and dice Nancy Pee.

Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.

Well - you may find him unworthy - but I sure don't.

Rush is who I go to for analysis of any terrorist event, any legislative action, any assault by the democrats, any proposal, any controversy.

You just plug along with your "qualified" teacher. I have found mine. If Rush has studied a piece of legislation, I know he has found all problems with it - he is very thorough.

And, millions of listeners have found the same thing. Rush gives us indepth analysis - not just light ravings.

Oh, by the way, guess you did not understand the "drug" business. That was an attack on Rush by the Democrats to bring him down. He was on pain medication and became addicted to it. He admitted his addiction, went into rehab and fought the attack.

Now, no other person was prosecuted for becoming addicted to a pain medication - but Rush was. Hm........

Now, no other person's medical records were violated but Rush's were.

And, in fact, Rush was humiliated on entering the country with viagra. No other public figure is treated that way.

It was an attack to take down the most powerful conservative talk show host.

Most people have the brains to understand what was going on with that? Would a Kennedy have been treated like that - he is an alcoholic, woman killer.

But, don't waste your time listening to him - you are not needed.

You would be wise to get to hirein', as you have a need for learnin'.

The left's obvious fear of Limbaugh betrays your assessment of him.

The Democrat version of a dream ticket was "RODHAM HUSSEIN '08."

That ticket would get elected in Missouri... "Just because you're dead, it doesn't mean you can't be an effective politician!"

So where's your three-hour five-day-a-week nationwide radio show with tens of millions of listeners?
