Well, Mr. Mew's been wondering if these three are just throwaways testing security.

It'll be interesting to see what the Feds and/or the local LEOs are willing to reveal at the presser.

But I'd like to know why trying to lie your way into a major US port isn't a federal offense. It must be a jurisdictional thing? City port?

There is something happening in West Palm Beach too .

Interesting. Proximity of date and location to the Super Bowl is making my spidey sense tingle, too.

Jack Bauer isn't supposed to be back for another week. Maybe he's getting an early start.

I heard that segment. Was that freaky or what?

It's like they think because they believe that, we have to live with it.

To me, they either pick everybody up or they pick nobody up.

But we both know the airport will give in to them; and their demands will just get more and more absurd.

When you cross the line over into or out of a controlled area of an international port facility, your cargo and your vehicle will be subject to inspection of some kind.

You will probably need "papers" attesting to the contents, the vehicle type, and the persons involved.

Should you lie you will turn into one of those pukes who teaches people how to assume a non-pilates prone position with your hands over your head.

Not a unique experience, unfortunately. I had a guy change lanes right into me in Alexandria at the end of October. He gave the cops bad insurance info, then left the country. He was driving like a complete fool and claimed to speak no English, until the cops ticketed him.

It was on the backs of the first responder's jackets.

You are correct. My place of employment (pharma manufacturing) is a Customs Zone. They can search anyone and anything that enters the property.

Well, in NYC, when Rudy was mayor, if they refused to pick you up and you got their cab number they were in big trouble. A few times we had some refuse to take us because we had so much luggage (going to Toy Fair) and we reported them.

I do not like this busness of any of these groups thinking we have to change to appease their ways, Australia has it exactly right (IMO) you get with the program and do things the Australian way or you leave...

Fox is reporting that the 3 men have been arrested now. Officials are looking into the truck with x ray equipment. Guess they don't want to open the thing just yet.

I believe the new Freeper has disappeared, so I'd take the info with a large grain of salt, as he or she wouldn't give a source.

I don't remember the guy's name.

He was a taxi driver in Minneapolis...and he works out of the airport.

He, and other Muslims taxi drivers have refused to let passengers who have liquor even in their suitcases or as gifts, they won't allow any dogs, even seeing eye dogs for the blind...or anything else that upsets their Muslim sensibilities.

The driver was saying that in America there is a freedom of religion, so they are free to practice their religion, which gives them the RIGHT to refuse service to anyone that doesn't respect their RULES!!

It was a pitiful segment...the man has been listening to too many liberals...and doesn't have his facts right.

Douglas Kennedy is often wrong, and misinformed, I have found.

I never listen to his reports.

The only thing for sale to Dubai was title to an English company that owned some gantry cranes in "ports".

The Port of Miami was not for sale, nor would it ever be for sale (for example).

Many of us who know what the words meant and what the value of the deal really was have begun thinking of the opponents as spokesmen for the International Longshoreman's Union and the Mafia who want to keep total control over every single item in every port in the country.

This would have been a good way to begin breaking the Mafia's back.

We prefer a link to a published story, but would be quite happy to know if it's not published whether it's a personal observation, or if a friend or relative called you.
