I think you misunderstand what I was trying to communicate. He's saying the US needs to get out to the ME altogether.... Let the ME war among themselves and let Iran come run over Iraq if they choose.....

Now if your assertion is the US is going to war with Iran then yes having the troops next door is very nice. Just how much of ME can we war with? Currently we have our hands full trying to help maintain a semblance of piece in Iraq while losing troops and local citizens each day.

Remember the question I asked him was what was he hearing in the Muslim communities he's in contact with, not what was strategically in the best interest of the US.
