The left must have been sent a list of "reasons" why Pres. Bush chose Petraeus...and they could pick whichever one they want.
Of course these same people didn't like Abizaid until they chose to misconstrue some things he said in a hear, and make it sound like HE wanted to leave Iraq.
Now that he is being replaced, HE is the smartest man in the military.
I thought I heard that Petraeus was chosen partly because of his work in training Iraqis...
He was wonderful I was broken hearted when he died about half an hour before I was going on holiday - strange holiday knowing I was coming home to house without a dog.
I have seen Pletka before....she is tough and does fight back...but, I think that is why she is on these shows so seldom...
And he said that like it was some kind of breaking news.
My Chauncey was so friendly that he could have worked as a Wal-Mart greeter to anyone who came to my door.
Beautiful pups.
My granddaughter jumps all over Jo-Ann, even rides her "horsy-back" around the yard.
Jo-Ann is very protective of Kaitlyn Mae. I even allow Kaitlyn to take Jo-Ann's leash after she's walked a while and Jo-Ann's tired so she won't pull so much.
Oddly, the minute Kaitlyn took the leash, with me hovering over and hands ready to take over, Jo-Ann immediately slowed down and walked right next to the child. I was intrigued beyond belief.
Hey, don't forget little Kaitlyn witnessed that entire cocker attack. As I was rolling around in the ditch I caught a glimpse of the child standing forlorn in the street, screaming in fear as what? The child was watching her grandmother roll around with two fighting dogs!
And these people have the nerve....the goddarn nerve....
The other Kaitlyn was terrified to even go in the street on her new Big Wheel with me. She was terrified of "the dog".
This wasn't a minor incident here, folks.
Photos on her webside. VP Cheney's Lab looks a lot like Troy did ... darker ears and light coat.

Have you read "Marley and Me"?...The author made a fortune and good for him as he was a wonderful friend and owner of Marley, a very different kind of lab.
I didn't check my spelling ... "thread" and "website"! Too excited about the dogs, I guess!

That could be quite troublesome. It's also one reason we got Lucy a year or so ago. Lacey has had some serious medical issues but seems to be doing quite well now.
I think Lucy actually gave her a new lease on life.
I think the president's dog is a Springer Spaniel, not a Cocker.
...little more than Sunday exercises in Liberal self-pleasuring which is their substitute for going to church.

Absolutely! In my car on cspan radio, I just heard about ten minutes of 'dialogue' between Steffi and the new Dem Chairmen Rangel, Obey and one other.
Rangel only wants 'cooperation' and 'moving forward in accord with the wishes of the American people.' Yadayadayada...ad infinitum.
Any chance to get out of Denver is a good thing!
She was snowboarding last weekend, and now she's sunning at the pool!
sorry..not really! LOL
I'm with you on McCain. I'd want a polygraph if he stated it was January.
Thank you for an interesting and important historical reference.
I would also point out that we are close to having a similar, though so far non-violent, situation in this country.

Ditto! My exact thought when I read shrink's post.:::
" A society divided into discordant groups, with the forces of public opinion canceling one another out, leaves no room for a ruling power to be constituted. And as "nature abhors a vacuum" the empty space left by the absence of public opinion is filled by brute force..."

We have three potential scenarios.
Civil war/anarchy
Submission to democrat platform, ie increased socialism, etc
Conversion of enough Americans to conservative political positions to overcome the power of the dnc media.
The dems are still proclaiming that the Bush Admin tax cuts "cost" the budget a trillion dollars over ten years. They absolutely refuse to acknowledge that cutting tax rates will increase revenues to said tax collection agency.
They are lovely
