'Dark and dangerous' Democrats under fire

America is under threat from malevolent forces intent on stripping citizens of their liberties. Dark enemies are stalking the innocent and the public must gird itself for confrontation.

A caricature of Hillary Clinton in the pamphlet

So claims the National Rifle Association, America's largest, wealthiest and most politically powerful gun rights group, which has printed pamphlets entitled Freedom in Peril to alert its four million members. The danger, it says, can be summed up in one word: Democrats.

So alarmed is the NRA at the advent of a Democrat-controlled Congress after 11 years of pro-gun Republicanism that it has issued a new call to arms, urging benefactors to open up their wallets and stand up for their constitutional right to gun ownership.

"Second Amendment freedom today stands naked in the path of a marching axis of adversaries far darker and more dangerous than gun owners have ever known," it notes.

The pamphlet paints a picture of fear and lawlessness under anti-gun Democrats, infested by animal rights terrorists and illegal aliens whose violence goes unchecked while law-abiding gun owners, such as sport huntsmen, see their own rights dismantled.

The NRA pamphlet paints a picture of fear and lawlessness

Its rogues' gallery includes a caricature of New York senator and prospective presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, naming her as the "modern incarnation of political guile and cynical grace". It singles out Democratic bankrollers Barbra Streisand and George Clooney, and the "one-world extremists" of the United Nations.

The NRA insists: "These enemies of freedom are preparing for a profound and foreboding confrontation. We'd better be ready."

Gun control advocates say that the NRA's demonisation of the Left and combative language reflect the level of "paranoia" it is feeling.

"The NRA had enormous power and saw it come tumbling down on election day," said Peter Hamm of the Brady Centre to Prevent Gun Violence. "I don't think I could sleep well at night if I had been part of designing something like this. It comes right up to the line of suggesting armed resistance."

The NRA does that about six times a month.

Do they tax you for your dog? I just had to pay a tax to own a dog I have owned for 13 years. Will they tax kids next?

The "axis of adversaries" want to first disarm the military and then disarm the patriiots.

Here's something insane. My cat has been fixed, partially declawed and never sets foot outside my home unless she is in a carrier. Yet I'm now having to pay for a license for her!

Sorry FRiend, you have what in Kalifornia would be an assault feline... I used to live there and can relate.

No way to tell what is next, but clearly we are heading downhill and fast.

Let us all hope people open their eyes in the next couple of years.

RIGHT ON! ! !

I think I'l send them a donation. They have earned it with this one.

Oops! I forgot to correct a small typo in that paragraph:
"Its rogues' gallery includes a caricature of New York senator and prospective presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, naming her as the "modern incarnation of political guile and cynical grace". It singles out Democratic bankrollers Barbra Streisand and George Clooney, and the "child molesting, one-world extremists" of the United Nations."

That fixed it.

You can make a difference.

Completely wrong (surprise, surprise). The fact is that every 'new' democrat had to at least pay lip-service to the RKBA.

One of the most dangerous things the Democrats could do is to move to the right on RKBA, neutralize or throw overboard the Brady Bunch; they would pick up a LOT of people who generally support unions, are, by the standards of FR 'rabid environmentalists' and like the idea of a higher minimum wage but will not, under any circumstances support anyone against the RKBA. And they would pick many of these people up in swing states while only pissing off the city dwellers who will vote Dem, anyway. Just my .02

Oh yeah, you Katie Couric Democrats...you just go ahead and start running your mouths about gun control again...do it.

She shut her trap about that a long time ago. Bring it up again, idiots.

Flyover Country has already proven it don't like that crap, no matter the election results.

Wanna go there again? Better watch it.

Boy.

Or, may I say, Boyeeee?

said Peter Hamm of the Brady Centre to Prevent Gun Violence. "

Oh, isn't that the group who used to call themselves Handgun Control, Incorporated, but didn't have the spine to continue to call themselves what they really are, so they changed their name?

Are you talking about that sick, lying, bunch of phonies?

You will be arrested and will be dis-armed. You will not fight this intrusion because you have a lawyer. Surely you will win in court. Oh golly. You just lost. Arrested for owning firearms . Prison time. Sound like 1938?

"It comes right up to the line of suggesting armed resistance."

They have no idea what level of resistance they would find.
