A Veto of ESCR would without question raise President Bush's approval numbers by creating a wedge between the President and the Pro Death Democrats in the House and Senate.

we'll probably see a lot more vetoes in the future, all depending on how the senate votes.

Bush still shouldn't have approved the use of the existing stem cell lines--if those cells could potentially have become a trillion cell human (basically if the cell was a human).

Dems want federal funding for embryonic stem-cell research.

They say nothing about wanting to federally fund adult stem-cell research.

Adult stem-cell research is making advances that are light years ahead of embryonic stem-cell research.

Embryonic stem-cell research, in fact, is a bust.

Figure out why the Dems want to federally fund embryonic stem-cell research.

Hopefully the President will not sign this if it gets through -- which I doubt it will.

Personally I am against life created by God, especially life as helpless as an embryo.

With Americans working extremely hard to pay taxes and little time remains to explain such a complex subject therefore short soundbites are used. The fact is embryonic stem cells have failed miserably to produce anything positive or more than hideous abnormal growths.

Here is the complex part. Adult stem cell research has produced positive results. The word 'adult' is the complex part. Adult stem cells can be obtained from umbilical cords too.

It has been over 2 years since California passed its pro stem cell research funding initiative, however I am not aware of any evil pharmaceutical companies racing to relocate west. Why is that? I thought big pharma was so evil and profit minded. Surely there is a huge potential for profit if the advertisements from the wacky lib's are to be believed.

I am disabled with a neurological condition and most likely would benefit from stem cell research, but I see no benefits in this dishonest campaign of Embryonic Stem Cell Research.

If they insist on Federal funding why do they insist on embryonic? I guess it makes too much sense to spend money on something that actually works and would eliminate the moral argument. It just continues to prove the Democrats would rather have an issue rather than actually help people.
