Cindy Sheehan Going to Cuba Next Week to Protest America
Thursday, January 4, 2007 | Kristinn

Posted on 01/04/2007 6:22:42 AM PST by kristinn

Anti-American activist Cindy Sheehan will be traveling to communist-run Cuba next week to protest the American detention center for terrorists at Guantanamo.

Sheehan, whose son Army Spc. Casey Sheehan was killed in combat in Iraq, will be accompanied by the Castro groupie Medea Benjamin who lived in Cuba in the Eighties; former U.S. diplomat and retired Army colonel Ann Wright; Adele Welty, mother of a fireman killed in the September 11 terror attacks; Gitmo alum Aisf Iqbal and Zohra Zewawi who claims to have a son at Gitmo. Lawyers and other anti-American activists will round out the 12 person group going to Cuba.

The trip is being organized by Global Exchange and Code Pink, sister organizations led by Benjamin.

Sheehan recently traveled to South Korea with Benjamin to protest against America defending that free nation from communist North Korea.

The Cuba trip will feature a protest at the Cuban side of Guantanamo and press conferences in Havana.

There is no information available to ascertain whether the group has obtained a license from the State Department authorizing the trip to Cuba. If they have not, each individual who violates the U.S. travel ban to Cuba could face up to ten years in prison and a one million dollar fine.

More details on the trip can be found at the Columbus Free Press.

I thought it was illegal to travel to Cuba?

She is a pain.

What has she actually accomplished by her activism?

Seems anyone who is in power wether D or R has a huge ignore button attached to anything Cindy.
Correct me if I am wrong.

All right, enough is enough. Someone needs to arrest her upon re-entry to the U.S. and then send her to Guantanamo Bay for a long vacation.

Please, let her go.

I hope she is on the front page of every media outlet in the country. Let's make sure EVERYONE really understands what the democrats stand for.

The only way the democrats can get elected is to pretend to be much closer to the center than they really are.

Once elected their actions are all that matter.

"Isn't she supposed to be going to jail?"

***

Perhaps she should try a Cuban jail. I'm sure she'll like the accommodations. (sarcasm)

Good ....there is still some hope that she will be put away for awhile!

I would think that with all of Cindy's ties to unsavory characters, she'd be on the 'no-fly' list...

Hey, Cindy, while you are there, are you going to protest the political prisons in Cuba? You know, where the prisoners are suffering the effects of severe malnutrion?

Or are you gonna blow them off as you protest your government - an action that if you did such in Cuba, would land you in one of those political prisons?

What rampant hypocrites.

Oh my, there is a report that Fidel Castro is currently in a Madrid hospital, having flown there with the Spanish doctor who was flown to Cuba to examine Fidel during the Christmas week. Communism in action!

I just hope none of the pinko gets sick during their stay, or else they'll be at the mercy of the communist health care system that's good enough for the masses, but not for El Hypocrite.

What was her son's name again? I can't remember.

What a destruction of the legacy of a truly honorable American.
