The significance of this weenie, Keith Ellison, using Jefferson's Koran to take the oath is about as meaninful as Harry Truman having had an old copy of "Mein Kampf" in his library.

"Lie to The Infidel", Keith.

I don't care if he swears in using a damn Snickers Bar wrapper.

The fact is that he is a muslim and as a muslim, he owes his allegiance to islam, not to the United States of America.

There is no place in the USA for muslims and islam and certainly no place in the US Senate, House of Representatives, Cabinets or any governmental agency, up to and including the office of the POTUS for a moon god worshipper.

Just my opinion.

Yes, what a great ( albeit dangerous) way to curry the votes of Muslims. Few realize that this constiturtes an act of submisssion in the eyes of Muslims. The word Islam means "submit." And if Ellison fails to forward the Muslim agenda, establishing special exceptions for those of Muslim failth in his district on various issues, he may be the subject of a fatwa, and his life endangered. Little does he likely know of the dangers and pitfalls he is about to tread.

Those of us who know, can only sit back and say, " Told ya!" when the time comes, as it will with all possible certainty, just as sure as feathers flutter and the sun rises in the East. For no one in congress will substitute the laws of Sharia for those we already have, even under the guise of community arbitration, contracted and agreed upon by patronizing fools like Ellison.

Guess this bit of history won't make it into the newspapers, even though it is incredibly relevant.

They tell us Jefferson had a Koran, but they won't tell us what Jefferson thought of Islam. Well, now you know!

----

From AMERICAN SPHINX The Character of Thomas Jefferson by Joseph J. Ellis

"Several muslim countries along the North African coast had established the tradition of plundering the ships of European and American merchants in the western Mediterranean and eastern Atlantic, capturing the crews and then demanding ransom from the respective governments for their release. In a joint message to their superiors in Congress, Adams and Jefferson described the audacity of these terrorist attacks, pirates leaping onto defenseless ships with daggers clenched in their teeth. They had asked the ambassador from Tripoli, Adams and Jefferson explained, on what grounds these outrageous acts of unbridled savagery could be justified: "The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the laws of the prophet, that it was written in their koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their [islams] authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners...."

This event occured between 1784-1789 while Jefferson was ambassador to France and Adams (2nd president) was ambassador to England.

We know this Koran is not what Jefferson used to take his oath of office, but I wonder... could Jefferson have used this Koran in his deliberations before going to war with the religiously driven and murderous Muslims cutthroats of the Barbary Coast

Hey when you vote a mooooooooslim into office don't be surprised if he wants to use the Koran instead of the Bible. Let's face it America is a country working very hard to seperate itself from it's Christian roots and this is just another example of it !!!

"cynical campaign to establish religious test"-

Nice sneer at concerns about allowing elected officials to swear into national office on books pledging destruction of our underlying values. The Koran is alternately ornate poetry and violent directive. It is a cultural icon but does not uphold American principles founded on Ten Commandments. "Thou Shalt Not Lie" being paramount for oath swearing.

Koran embraces lying as valid to "polytheists" and infidels. ie, the American people.

Elect David Duke and he'll swear in on Mein Kampf- same issue.

Jefferson from his library probably also provided books on sorcery. That didn't make him an admirer or supporter of sorcery.

There's some significance, Jefferson was familiar with jihad. As I've been adding to my posts yesterday and today

-----

In consideration of Rep. Ellisons use of a Koran from Jefferson’s research collection for his unofficial swearing in.

"The Ambassador [to England from Tripoli] answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners."
Thomas Jefferson and John Adams in their report to Congress

You can't back down, you can't chicken out, you can't be afraid, you got to have faith in Allah, and you got to stand up and be a real Muslim
Keith Ellison

Actually progressive-humanists politicians who place their hands on a Bible are first class hypocrites. Charles Darwin's "Origins of the Species" or even a dictionary would be more true to their belief systems.

Jefferson had his Koran so he'd understand the thought process of the enemies of our country, the muslim pirates who said their religion made it both proper and in fact necessary for them to attack shipping of countries that did not worship Allah.

I wonder if he highlighted the places where the Koran said to kill those who were not Muslims.

Ellison claims he got the idea of using a Quran owned by Thomas Jefferson for his swearing in from an anonymous person.

In fact the idea for the PR stunt was suggested to him by the Muslim American Society, a radical group founded by the Muslim Brotherhood. The MAS want to impose Sharia law on the United States.
