And you know, in the sixties, we wore thongs (on our feet). My kids laugh every time I say that. Of course, they are now called flip-flops.

Iran's President Ahmadinejad will visit Belarus
IranMania ^ | January 31, 2007 | IranMania

LONDON, January 31 (IranMania) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is set to visit Belarus to discuss energy cooperation, the former Soviet republics Foreign Ministry said.
Recent moves by Russia to raise the price Belarus pays for its oil and gas have prompted Minsk to seek alternative sources of energy, RIA-Novosti reported.
Vladimir Semashko, the first deputy prime minister, said Minsk is considering joint oil production ventures with Iran.
During his visit to Tehran on January 21-22, Belarusian Defense Minister Leonid Maltsev signed with his Iranian counterpart, Mostafa Mohammad Najar, a memorandum of understanding on defense cooperation.
The parties agreed on two-way visits by expert delegations, military and technical cooperation, interaction in staff training and consultations at the level of defense ministers. The ministers discussed international security, prospects for bilateral cooperation and experiences related to formation of national defense forces.

"First death threat of the new book"
I know just what you mean. I did that when I took an extended trip to visit my family. Didn't read or watch any news coverage whatsoever. I must say it was cathartic.
Got a call this afternoon from Appalachian_Dweller. He is doing very well and asked specifically for me to advise fellow FReepers there is an enhanced number of PREPAREDNESS COMMERCIALS in his area. He said it is constant and unrelenting and wants to make absolutely sure everyone here knows it is happening in his location. If anyone else has noticed such commercials in their area, please indicate that here so we can correlate if specific areas are targeted for that information.
ExSoldier, please contact Appalachian_Dweller before he has to send out the Canadian Mounted Police and French Foreign Legion to locate you. He definitely wants to talk with you.
Glad you're back MamaDearest and it's good to hear AD is doing fine.

Snip: The study, which claims to be the first of its kind, catalogs how students as young as 9 are conditioned to take part in a global jihad against "infidel oppressors" such as Israel and the United States.
Keith Ellison's offended foot-soldiers and what didn't offend the Muslims
Snip: Three former Islamic militants from the Middle East, Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem, and Zachariah Anani, now reformed and warning the West of the danger of radical Islam, were to speak at the University of Michigan yesterday (30th January) in a public forum, billed as "The 3 Ex-Terrorists." They have fought for the militant wing of PLO in Palestine and had participated in acts of violence and terrorism against Israel. Shoebat had bombed an bombed Israeli Bank as a teenager. Anani was a teen militia fighter, where he was trained to kill Jews, according to www.3xterrorists.com claims to have killed 223 people.
As usual the proposed forum offended the Muslims. It should be added that Anani have received 'death threat' for his plan to participate in the event. Speaking about the danger of radical Islam is also a form of hate to the Muslims:
".. the head of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), Imad Hamad, said "this is another form of hate...in the name of fighting terrorism."

Thank you, Cindy. I pinged you to that thread first thing because I knew you had previously posted a collection of links relating to Mugnie on one of the threads I also linked again in post #1.
He's the terrorist I want most of all. The one even my superidol Reagan (I was a teenager and remember it ALL) never caught.
Islamist websites monitor project No. 57
Snip: On January 29, 2007, Islamist websites cited a January 18, 2007 report by the Iraqi Al-Malaf news agency (http://www.almalafpress.com ), which stated that Sheikh Abdullah Al-Janabi - the former head of the Shura Council of the Mujahideen in Fallujah and one of the U.S.'s and the Iraqi government's most wanted- is planning to return to the jihad front. According to the report, Al-Janabi plans to head a new Iraqi jihad group called "Jaysh Al-Muslimin" (The Muslim Army) which will incorporate four organizations that have decided to unite: Kata'ib Thawrat Al-'Ishrin, Liwa Al-Islam, Jaysh Al-Mujahideen, and Jaysh Al-Rashidin. The message also mentions that five other jihad groups, whose names are not given, have recently united.
Snip: One of the 21/7 bomb plot suspects kept suicide bombing speeches by Osama bin Laden and film of hostage beheadings, a court heard yesterday.
They were found along with extreme Islamic religious material at Yassin Omar's flat - said to have been the gang's bomb factory.
In a nine-day search of the property in New Southgate, North London, police discovered dozens of books, films and CDs.
These included footage of a suicide bomber attacking a US barracks in Saudi Arabia, BBC reports of the 7/7 bombings and a CD Rom on Jihad.
Another video was described in court as "the last world message of those who attacked America on 9/11".
Hi MD. Nice to hear from you.
OPINION: I'm absolutely always interested in keeping up with Mugniyah (via the internet) until he's dead or captured.
Thank you cgk.
Excellent, Cindy, thank you.
Thank you Mama Dearest.
I always take a day or so here and there and I simply scan headlines -- no actual reading of reports, posts or articles. I find it helpful to me when I need peace and balancing.
