WASHINGTON Gerald R. Ford leaves his beloved U.S. Capitol for the last time Tuesday as the period set aside for ordinary Americans to say goodbye gives way to an elaborate invitation-only funeral at the awe-inspiring Washington National Cathedral.
As the first order of business Tuesday, Ford's remains were being removed from the Rotunda to lie in repose briefly outside the Senate before leaving the Capitol where Ford served as a congressman for 25 years. As vice president, Ford also had the constitutional title of president of the Senate.

It's one of those events in life that stands out in memory as a great moment in time.

YES! The first one is always the most difficult. I am a computer dunce, but once I learned... I wondered why I ever thought it was difficult!
Woo-Hoo for you!!!!

My daughter was married in March 2005 at the "Small Chapel" at St Albans School, on the cathedral grounds.
We were able to use the Bishop's Garden for photographs and the cathedral itself was looming in the background. With the cherry blossoms in full regalia, it was a perfect setting for a wedding. She (daughter) teaches at St Alban's, so the fees were negligible. The refectory (lunchroom) at the school served as a most fitting place for the reception as well. Have not heard yet if she attended the service today.

I watched Hillary's debate with the other candidate for NY Senator....and felt that A. He won the debate. B. the moderator was giving her softball questions, and C. the MSM came out and said SHE won!!
I am sorry, but I have no faith that the "real hillary" will ever be exposed until she has her fat butt in the Oval Office, turning this country into a socialist country.

I have resigned myself to the fact that no one on television, even Fox, will criticize her. I also think the only people who will do so will be a few talk radio hosts, and not as many as we think since they will be afraid of her if she wins.
My hope in her defeat lies in the millions of American men who will not be able to tolerate a female CIC, and enough sensible women who know she would be an incompetent president.

I think you are correct... I am almost sure that Luci was married at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in DC (which was fairly new at the time) and Lynda was married in the White House, as was Tricia Nixon Cox.

You know what I am hoping???
That Nancy Pelosi will screw up so royally as the "first woman Speaker of the House"...that America won't EVEN take a chance on electing a dem "first woman POTUS"!!

I agree with you about the MSM.
We must BYPASS them when we cannot cleverly exploit them.
