too fast, too rushed, too quick...
slow down... yada, yada, yada... cry me a river

There are only two logical reasons to delay his execution:

A. He isn't guilty or there is some doubt.
B. One does not approve of the death penalty.

Since he was guilty and the Iraqi's do believe in the death penalty then justice was done and the complainers can shut up.

The Muslims are outraged?
Hell, I'm REALLY outraged!

I'm outraged that our guys didn't shoot the bastard Saddam, the instant his face became visible coming out of his rat hole..

I'm outraged we spent the blood and treasure, to selectively kill a few lunatic Islamists -- when we should have FIRST leveled the Iraqi cities wherein resided the most active resistance to the coalition attempts to free a people..

I'm outraged over the fact that al Sadr is still alive.
Outraged over the fact that Iranians are assisting and participating in the killing of coalition forces -- and none of their cities lie in ruin, and smoldering.

Outraged? -- The Muslims are outraged?
Hell, that's their normal state of being. Outraged and Murderous..

Well screw the bastards -- If I had my way -- they would be a lot worse off than "outraged"...

I haven't seen an execution carried out this quickly since Timothy MacVeigh.

I wonder if there is a connection?

"If only the pantywaists in the Pentagon had knocked off Al Sadr 3 years ago, we wouldn't have to hear that putrid doughboy's name shouted out at this hanging"

Sir, do you understand the chain of command? Let me enlighten you, it ends with the Commander in Chief. As a vet I'm really getting tired of the knee-jerk comments about the conduct of our military in this war. It wasn't the "pantywaists" in the Pentagon who called our warfighters off of the checkpoints when ordered by Al Sadr. It was not the warfighters who made the decision to allow Al Sadr to breathe after he and his cronies retreated to mosques with American blood on their hands. That decision rests with the Commander in Chief. Please anoint the title of pantywaist to those who have truly earned it and thank the military for fulfilling their oath to obey the orders of those they serve.

These facts will soon be replaced with "bungling by Bush in rushing Saddam execution seen as cause for civil war".

Didn't you know? Bush secretly flew to Baghdad to personally kick the stool from under Saddam... unauthorized videofootage soon to appear on selected web-sites.

The world media is really tying itself into knots attempting to whip things up over Saddam's death. I don't think it's a very successful effort.

If there was great riots and burnings going on across the globe of any significance the media would be headlining these events with blaring headlines edged in black, screeching TV "alerts" every two minutes and pronouncements of "I told you this would happen" by every traitorous faggy politician now sunning in the Bahamas.

'Tain't happening, McGee.

It followed television and internet broadcasts of unauthorized telephone camera pictures showing Saddam being taunted by Shia witnesses in the death chamber shortly before the hanging.

Very bad boo boo. Some Sunni phone-camera recorded the event in order to stir everyone up. Good move.

At least we don't have to worry about liberals trying to kill us. They may be outraged but they are also outgunned. LOL

They're going to riot in the streets and shake their fists in the air, while they scream "death to America, death to Bush." So, what's new?

"There have also been reports that Saddam, 69, was taunted by his executioners in his cell in the hours before his death, with one brandishing the rope that would later hang him."

OK OK! I promise it'll never happen to sad-ham again!

Sadr didn't bring Hussein to the gallows, we did.

Not that I'd have any problem with us bringing him to the gallows, but we didn't. We brought him to the Iraqis. The Iraqis brought him to the gallows.

I am outraged that as we fight Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan we still allow them to immigrate as if they are our friends.

Lynch mob? Bull cookies. Just because Judge Ito ran a race-based soap opera instead of a trial doesn't mean that Iraq needs such a model. There was a trial. A verdict. A sentencing. A hanging. Saddam is history. Sucks to be him.

Not that I'd have any problem with us bringing him to the gallows, but we didn't. We brought him to the Iraqis. The Iraqis brought him to the gallows.

Yours is a distinction without a difference. The point is we captured him, not the Sadr militia members that participated in the hanging.

It was the US that ended his decades of murder. Not Iraqi's who had suffered under his regime. And here were Sadr hangmen chanting the slogans of a man whose group murders Americans on a daily basis. This is why many are offended by the conduct observed while bringing justice to Saddam.

Regards.
