I'll say. The pilots must have managed to pancake it into a clearing or onto a beach. Only way anybody could survive.

How about a little more info about the crash? How many on board, when, speculation on cause? There is nothing on the News sidebar that explains a crash. Thanks.

The lastest news I heard said they think they crashed into a mountain as they have been able to call the co-pilots cell phone but there has been no answer. They said if it went down in the water the cell phone would not work.

The plane was on a domestic flight from Java island to Sulawesi when it disappeared late Monday about an hour before it was due to land amid very bad weather. The captain managed to send out two distress signals, said national aviation chief Ichsan Tatang said late Monday.
