The President and First Lady spent the New Year weekend at their ranch in Crawford Texas returning today to Washington where they paid their respects to former President Ford whose body is laying in State in the Rotunda. Later on he and the First lady visited Mrs Ford at Blair House.
The President's father also paid his respects to President Ford today as did Donald Rumsfeld
On Saturday Vice President Cheney attended and spoke at the State Funeral of Gerald Ford
Enjoy your bonus visit to Sanity Island
Thanks, as always, DrDeb, for the links!
Mr. Koch is correct, President Bush is a man of courage. The end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007 has found me thinking a lot about that, lately. He is also a very strong man, to have gotten through these last 6 years!
Sometime I can't tell First doggies apart they are black and round LOL! or trangile LOL!
Me too! The news conferences just aren't going to be the same without his entertaining one-liners and his passion!
Thank you very much for both wonderful threads today.
You have done a wonderful job on both of them.
BTW...I got you box addressed and ready to go...but I forgot to put in the note I wrote to you...before I taped it all up!! I am so sorry.
Basically, it just said I hope you enjoy the Wheat Thins as much as I do....and that I have enjoyed getting to know you. Also, I mentioned in the note you won't get...that when you need some more, let me know..and I will send some to you!!
I am such a forgetful person sometimes, I am sorry.
That does it. I don't like you anymore, Jonny. :P

. . . me too!
[We are so blessed to have a leader courageous enough to make the tough decisions knowing full well that he will be 'crucified' by both the left and right!!]
WOW ... the moon looks close enough to touch.
Thank you, DD and Happy New Year!!!!
Wait for it ...
:)
Thanks for the Pink Dr. Deb, I have been missing all the pings I use to get from Tonkin Gulf.
Thanks for the dose.
Barney or Miz Beasley - I really enjoy seeing President Bush with his dogs. I remember reading here on FR a few years back, when President Bush was going to make an appearance at some place, and a young Boy Scout or Cub asked "Is he bringing his dog?". And that's sort of like I feel. Thank you for the great pictures. And God Bless President Ford.
1-2-3-4, I declare a smiley war!
Rummy probably telling Joyce HONEY I can't believe Jerry is gone
And I'm running out of ammo! :)
