Pakistani child imitating Saddam's hanging dies
1 hour, 14 minutes ago
MULTAN, Pakistan (AFP) - A young boy who tried to copy hanging scenes from the execution video of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein died in central Pakistan, police said.
Mubashar Ali, 9, hanged himself, while re-enacting Hussein's hanging with the help of elder sister, 10, after tying a rope to a ceiling fan and his neck in his home in Rahim Yar Khan district Sunday, a local police official said.
The father of the deceased boy said that his children had been watching the video of Saddam Hussein's execution on television and attempted to imitate the hanging as other family members thought they were playing in another room.
"My wife and sister rushed to rescue Mubashar when children cried for help from the adjoining room, but he died due to hanging," Alamgir Paracha, father of Mubashar, told AFP.
Police said that the death was accidental and a case of parental negligence.
"It was an accident which happened due to carelessness of parents," district police chief Sultan Ahmad told AFP.
Images of the fallen Iraqi dictator with a noose around his neck, surrounded by executioners in balaclavas, were repeatedly telecast by Pakistani television channels at the weekend.
Commentators and the media across Europe had expressed shock and unease Sunday at graphic television pictures showing the last moments of Hussein just before his execution.
And just as likely not. . (.how can we know from this story?)
Could as easily be these people were watching this; like so many others; so to see for themselves; that this tyrant is gone, in fact. Maybe even to giving their children a lesson of evil. . .
WhatEVER the case here; these children got the wrong message, for sure.
But any lol's here, do seem out of place; and appear more than a bit judgmental and hate(full) as well.
Good point and good analogy.
. . .ahhhh. . .that is supposed to be a 'lesson ON evil'. . .
Who could've imagined such a tragic end to some good, clean family fun. < /sarcasm >
Do these Islamic scum have any redeeming qualities whatsoever?
This supports what I have been saying for years - there should be no rope in a house. Rope kills people. The second amendment be damned - remove all rope now. Thousands die each year because there is rope around - its just senseless - it doesn't need to happen.
Because they are Moose Limbs. They probably gave him the rope. Too bad they lost their opportunity to use him for a bomb.
The kids have were watching "Captain Hangaroo", when all hell broke loose...
Didn't think so.
Wonder if it would work on "Fat'Teddy?
Sometimes kids do stupid things, and hurt themselves, and that is sad. Sometimes adults revel in it; that's really sad. One is a case of stupidity from a not-yet mature mind; the other is a case of stupidity from a chronically immature mind.
One thing I've noticed about all of these analogies.
Truth.
Wouldn't it be much more effective to just kill all their children then? The adults will grow old and die in time. Without children, no new adults. Just kill the kids. Problem solves itself, no?
There will come a time, in the not-too-distant future, when each of us will have to choose sides and grimly set about doing what must be done. Should such a task fall to me, God grant me the determination to see it through rather than go all squishy about how cute they would look in matching sailor suits.
"the witnesses to Saddam's excution convinced me that the Muslims are 500 years behind western culture...not the hanging, but their mindless taunting of him seconds before his demise....just plain animals...."
Taunting a convicted murderer before executing him is a little distasteful. But then we have posters in this thread celebrating the accidental death of a nine year old child. Don't be too quick to pronounce the superiority of 'western culture'.
The Superman TV show had a similar effect.
Idiots.
It seems popular lately to emulate what you hate.
