E. J. Dionne hopes that the hit job they did on Romney over gay marriage is going to be sufficient to knock him out.
Agreed, but when great picks like Monica Crowley and others come up and they seemingly pass, it's underwhelming.
I hope the DoD bills his retched family for the flight.
Did the plane actually land or did they just drop the casket out the door during a fly over?
Gee .. how nice of E. J. to admit the media did a hit job on Romney
Actually, that was my "astute" interpretation of his remarks :)
It's amazing how some of the loudest voices expressing outrage over Saddam's execution.were not only silent when Saddam was perpetrating his atrocities but concluding extremely profitable business deals with him. Where was the outrage then?
I just did a mental picture of your post, could be post of the week,ROTFLMAO!! I really needed a good laugh today.!!
Can he not read his various briefing papers or whatever they are called, can he not read official statements that the White House puts out or is he just peeved he has not had this on a one to one basis.
Spoilt brat comes to mind.
He doesn't work for TWP. The newspaper carries his syndication.
:-) Aw, I think that you thought of it, and just didn't remember that you did.
Chrissy Matthew as Dan RatherNot on his panel again
Excellent point. There was a story by John Burns who talked of how his minders in Iraq trembled at the very thought of Hussein and one even broke down in tears. Eason Jordan and CNN were very well aware of how awful he was and just how much of that did we hear. Since CNN spent lots of time worrying over whether Saddam would "suffer", I have to think that their sympathies really were and are with the dictator.
What was that?
Well, at least that's intellectually consistent with Peter Jennings 1994 comment about the voters 'having a temper tantrum' when the Dhimmicrats got trounced (and trounced almost 2 to 1 worse than the turnover this time).
I actually found the quote on MRC's Notable Quotables for 1994:
|
|
"Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming. It's clear that the anger controls the child and not the other way around. It's the job of the parent to teach the child to control the anger and channel it in a positive way. Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week....Parenting and governing don't have to be dirty words: the nation can't be run by an angry two-year-old." |
Note that he even used the phrase "stomping feet." I doubt Robinson is conscious enough to recognize the irony, but it is delicious. Does this make Robinson and friends sore winners? They certainly can be described as acting like "angry two year olds."
Lordy, Lugar is just doddering. "Who is being trained?" I would assume they are Iraqis. "Where are the battle lines?" Well, Lugar, they are wherever the "insurgents" pop up. My goodness, do none of them read anything??? He wants the President to describe to him who we are fighting and how do our people go about finding them. Apparently Lugar cannot find any information by himself and has to have the President feed it to him.
