#183, I would not lose respect for him he is a great Journalist, and a Nice Human Being that has suffered a lot Physically. He just gets things wrong sometimes. Maybe later on he will revisit his position on this matter. He has been very wrong many times before as in his harsh Condemnation of Mel Gibson, and "The Passion of the Christ", which broke all previous Box Office attendance/receipts records.
CNN is keeping the KIA total front and center.
$$$$
So is the Baltimore SUN. Almost every day the front page of the Maryland, ie local, section has an article with people looking mournful, about someone affected by the war in Iraq.
Today, being the end of the year wrap-up, this front page has postage-stamp photos of many of the 50-some persons "with ties to Maryland" who have died in Iraq. Reading further this report goes back to the beginning of hostilities. Scanning further, I found zero mention of anyone killed in Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, etc.
How pathetic is the SUN's propagandizing. It has given them tunnel vision.
Wonder what Krauthammer thought about the industrial shredders that were fed live humans for Saddam Hussein's amusement.
Just about everyone in the audience was nearly comatose.
#186, all that is true, and you have Bill Nelson, Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Di Fi long in the tooth, also Reid has already had a stroke, and he is foolishly flying into very high altitude in South American ruins. Crazy.....So far maybe our Prayers have helped Tim Johnson stay alive and surprise the Ghouls in his party. We continue to pray for Johnson, especially because his Son is a Soldier in Iraq at this time.
Really! Then I did not misunderstand him. He wants to save the poor and diseased of the world. Make the lame walk, raise the dead. And he wants our taxpayer money to do it. What a loon.
I'll bet he gets all excited thinking of video of himself surrounded by the dirty and starving detritus of humanity, gently scruffing wooly little heads. Yuk.
That, my dear Samantha, is priceless and a keeper.
#190, that is very telling info about Ford. I am not surprised, and I was a dem at the time, but was really not a big fan of Ford even though I voted for him.
Thanks, Phsstpok. One of the best observations ever posted!
Great analysis of the difference between the Cheney's and the Clinton/Edwards' man/woman dynamics.
I think you could also extrapolate out that dynamic in the Bush family...the women/men...although a little different than the Cheneys.
Edwards also clearly thinks we haven't done enough to rebuild New Orleans. No mention of all the dollars wasted down there! He doesn't realize we are not amused by the political corruption in the state of Louisiana.
I saw footage of John Edwards in Africa, surrounded by black people..and he was shaking hands with the men..and the narrative was that he can't understand how America uses it's resources for war...
When there are so many people in the world that could benefit from those funds....
BTW...did you see the thread from last night..that he gave a speech in a black CHURCH yesterday?? Campaigning in churches seems to be only allowable for Dems..
Any other way?
I make mine on the hour.
Newtesque!
I really hope you are right.
They have to make sure they secure their core audience... before Al Jazeera TV moves in and completely takes away all of the America haters.
Snarlin Arlin himself was the Pubbie who visited Damascus recently.
