Happy New Year, AB, and All FReepers on this fantastic thread!
I know that I'm not the only FReeper who would rather NOT watch old Lugar, but prefer instead to read AB's and other's comments re what obnoxious "ideas" Lugar continues to spew.
And next year's Sunday Talk Shows should be even worse, with "new" Congressional Committee Chairmen. The new buzz word for the Sunday shows will be "old wine in new bottles."

Why they need a trial to be reminded of all the horrible things Saddam did is beyond meAmericans have been bombarded by the DBM with their imagined evils of President Bush for the past few years. They have not had time to show the atrocities of a truly evil person like Sadaam. /s
Too bad the MSM is no longer in the news business;just the propaganda business.

So what your saying is we have lost less than 10% of the troops in 4 years that we lost in Korea in 2 years. Someone should point that out as well as the troops lost in their insurrection or that Iraq has an elected gummit. Things that PravdABDNC is not aware of.

#172, excellent Post. very interesting questions, but outside of a grainy tape we will never know the truth about the comments that Ford supposedly made because one witness is dead and the other is an unabashed liar. it would have been nice to know what Ford thought about Korea, but unless Betty and he talked about matters like this and she writes a book, we will never know.

Indeed one can tell Lynne Cheney is a strong women and has strong views etc but it is obvious that this does not make the VP look less manly.
I get the impression he likes strong women it is often interesting to see when in group of politicians you often see him talking to women some of them actual politicians themselves or wives of politicians. None of this comes over as gushing or sexual or in any way patronizing to me it is genuine interest in how strong women operate and enjoyment of their company.
He has 2 strong women as children and certainly from photos of them and comments made particularly of the oldest grand daughter strong female grand daughters. None of this IMHO makes him look less masculine in fact I think it enhances it and shows how a real man can handle the situation without making him less of a man.
The opposite is true of both the Clinton's and Edwards.

I remember being more than a little surprised to hear Krauthammer trashing the World War II Memorial.
Every now and then the man seems to go off into his own little angry world.

When Reagan won the nomination, Ford decided he should be the VP and they'd have a co-presidency!
Our affable Mr. Reagan said, NOT A CHANCE!

There are some rumors about that Britt could retire in the next few years or even sooner. If FNC thinks they can replace him with "Wallace" they must not be the least bit concerned about ratings because they won't drop they would plummet.
I'm counting on Brit holding on till this administration leaves office. Then Tony can come back and rescue Fox News.

As if the people in the middle east were unaware of Saddam's war on Iran, Kuwait, and his own people?
They need reminders of what happened when he gassed the Kurds?
